A forming and/or separating deviceas well as a method for operating the same and particularly a method for checking of an undisturbed operation of the forming and/or separating device. The forming and/or separating deviceis configured to process an initial workpiecein a working areabetween two tool partsin a chipless forming manner. An image-capturing sensorcaptures the working areaand can capture at least one captured image B during the operation of the forming and/or separating device. An evaluation unitcompares the at least one captured image B with at least one reference image R or a reference model, if the forming and/or separating deviceis in a defined operating condition. Based on the comparison it is checked whether a disturbance exists.

Forming or separating device, and method for operating same

The invention relates to a device for dispensing a cushion means for packaging purposes, comprising a dispensing means which provides the cushion means, and a withdrawal region from which a user can take the dispensed cushion means. The dispensing device comprises a driven conveyor for conveying the cushioning material along a conveyor path, the conveyor being supported on a movable base which can be moved out of an operating position into a release position and back, said conveyor being moved out of the conveyor path in the release position.
