The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for unlocking hardware and associated functionality of gaming devices. Before a player reaches a predetermined progress level, enhanced user interface devices of the gaming device remain locked to the player. The functionality associated with the enhanced user interface devices also remains unavailable to the player while the enhanced user interface devices are locked. Once the player reaches the progress level, a hardware-unlock option is presented to the player allowing the player to unlock an enhanced user interface device and select a functionality associated with the unlocked enhanced user interface device. The availability of the hardware-unlock options and specific functionality to be activated can be limited based on in-game events and a progress level reached by the player.

A first static 2D image may be applied to a surface in a virtual 3D environment as a first texture of the surface in a first view of the virtual 3D environment. A second static 2D image may be applied to the surface in the virtual 3D environment as a second texture of the surface in a second view of the virtual 3D environment. A stereoscopic 3D image of the casino game apparatus may be generated, the stereoscopic 3D image comprising the first view of the virtual 3D environment with the first static 2D image applied as the first texture to the surface and the second view of the virtual 3D environment with the second static 2D image applied as the second texture to the surface.

A method of displaying stereoscopic 3D images of a casino game apparatus is provided. Positions of heads of two or more viewers of a display device are determined. Viewpoints of the two or more viewers are determined based, at least in part, on the head positions. Stereoscopic 3D images depicting the casino game apparatus from approximately the viewpoints of the two or more viewers are generated. Three-dimensional, multi-view displays and related techniques

A gaming machine has a flat panel display screen that is pivotable over a range of angles to allow the player to tilt the screen to directly face the player. The screen also can be pulled toward the player for maximum comfort. The screen has user interface controls, such as part of a touch screen. The screen contains one or more accelerometers for detecting movement of the screen. The player grips the screen with both hands to control the game via movement of the screen (e.g., shaking, tilting, pushing in, or pulling out) and the touching of the user interface controls. The screen may include a vibrator for providing tactile sensations to the player. The screen allows a player to completely control a game, including wagering and carrying out the game, without releasing the screen from the player's two-handed grip.
