A guard member is for an electrical switching apparatus of an electrical system. The electrical system includes at least one electrical conductor. The electrical switching apparatus is structured to move from a CLOSED position to an OPEN position in response to a trip condition. The electrical switching apparatus has a terminal end coupled to the electrical conductor. The guard member includes a body having a receiving portion structured to receive the electrical conductor, and a coupling portion extending from the receiving portion and being structured to be coupled to the terminal end. The coupling portion has a number of thru holes in order to dissipate heat generated by the electrical switching apparatus moving from the CLOSED position to the OPEN position.

The neutral bus bars can have a rectangular profile and can have a curvilinear shape to position one long segment of the neutral bus bar, closer to the line connectors than another shorter segment thereof.

Plug-on neutral circuit breakers include a housing, a plug-on neutral clip with a crown held in the housing and with legs extending out from the housing and in communication with a biasing member that resides at least partially in the housing that allows the plug-on neutral clip to move between first and second positions associated with pre-installed and fully installed orientations.

A guard member is for an electrical switching apparatus of an electrical system. The electrical system includes at least one electrical conductor. The electrical switching apparatus has a housing. The guard member includes a base portion structured to receive the electrical conductor, a number of coupling portions extending from the base portion and being structured to be coupled to the housing, and a plurality of petal portions extending from the base portion away from the number of coupling portions. At least one of the petal portions is orientated at an acute angle with respect to the base portion.

A shunt separator is provided for an electrical switching apparatus including a housing, separable contacts enclosed within the housing, an operating assembly including a trip bar, and a trip assembly. The trip assembly cooperates with the trip bar to trip open the separable contacts in response to a fault condition. The trip assembly includes a number of shunts. The shunt separator includes a molded projection, which extends outwardly from the housing of the electrical switching apparatus. The molded projection at least partially surrounds a portion of the trip bar, thereby separating the number of shunts from the trip bar.
