A rotatable power strip outlet assembly that includes a power strip housing, a plurality of electrical sockets formed on a front surface of the power strip housing, and a rear plug support member rotatably coupled to the power strip housing, that includes a front surface, a rear surface, and an electrical plug disposed on the rear surface of the rear plug support member and with electrical prongs extending outwardly away from the rear surface of the rear plug support member and electrically coupled to the plurality of electrical sockets, wherein the power strip housing is operably configured to selectively rotate at least 270&#xb0; with respect to the rear plug support member to reorient the power strip housing while plugged into an electrical outlet.

Oxygen barrier compositions for electrical devices and their related methods are provided. In certain embodiments, the oxygen barrier compositions comprise a meta-substituted aromatic resin and an additional aromatic epoxy resin. In some embodiments, the compositions have a chlorine content of less than approximately 1000 ppm. The compositions may have an oxygen permeability of less than approximately 0.4 cm&#xb7;mm/m&#xb7;atm&#xb7;day at approximately 0% relative humidity and approximately 23&#xb0; C. In certain embodiments, methods of curing the oxygen barrier compositions comprise partially curing the composition where, the partial cure is achieved through ultraviolet radiation or heat.

A surface-mountable electrical circuit protection device includes layers defining a first PPTC resistive element, a second PPTC resistive element, and at least one heat-generating electrical component such as a planar zener diode chip positioned between, and in thermal contact with, the first and second PPTC elements, such that an electrical current above a threshold level passing through the component causes the component to heat, the heat being transferred to the PPTC resistive elements and tripping at least one, and preferably both of the first or second PPTC elements to a high resistance state. A series of edge-formed terminal electrodes enable surface-mount connection of the first and second PPTC elements and the electrical component to an electrical circuit substrate, such as a printed circuit board. A method for making the device is also disclosed.

A method for producing a surface mount device includes providing a plurality of layers including a B-staged top layer and bottom layer, and a C-staged middle layer with an opening. A core device is inserted into the openings, and then the top and bottom layers are placed over and under, respectively, the middle layer. The layers are cured until the layers become C-staged. The core device is substantially surrounded by an oxygen-barrier material with an oxygen permeability of less than approximately 0.4 cm3&#xb7;mm/m2&#xb7;atm&#xb7;day.

Oxygen-barrier packaged surface mount device

A method is disclosed for treating blood vessels using endovascular techniques to deliver laser energy. Percutaneous access into the vein lumen will be obtained using an angiocatheter through which a fiber optic line will be introduced. The vein will be emptied of blood using elevation of the limb, patient positioning, compression, or other means. Laser energy will be delivered into the vein lumen using wavelengths from about 532 nanometers to about 1064 nanometers. Sufficient power and duration will be used to damage the entire thickness of the vein wall, ultimately causing fibrosis of the treated blood vessel. Fibrosis of the treated blood vessel causes the blood vessel to decrease in diameter or collapse.
