A blow mold provided with a locking system for mutually locking each half-mold with the related half-mold holder, thus allowing a simpler and quicker replacement of the side half-impressions of the mold. The blow mold of the invention provides for the side half-impression of each half-mold to be fixed in a cavity of the corresponding mold holder by actuating at least one quick coupling device comprising a bar () inserted in one of the two longitudinal edges of the half-mold holder () and adapted to move only by rotation about an axis thereof; actuation means () adapted to actuate a rotation of said bar; and at least one locking fin () fixed along said bar () and adapted to move, by rotating the bar (), from an unlocking position to a locking position in which said locking fin interacts with the respective half-mold ().

Blow mould

A blow mold for making PET containers comprising an inner surface corresponding to the outer outline of the container, on which there are one or more cavities or projections configured to make corresponding respective projections or cavities of the outer surface of the container, wherein the mold comprises one or more venting grooves along the edge delimiting said cavities or projections. A plurality of venting holes are possibly arranged along such grooves, as well as it is also possible for some venting holes to be arranged outside thereof. The width and depth of these are selected according to the wall thickness of the container to be blown to prevent that the deformation of the container during the blowing obstructs the venting grooves and leaves visible marks on the container.

Blow mold for manufacturing containers made of thermoplastic material

A blow mold () provided with a locking system to lock each half-mold () to the respective half-mold holder (), allowing simpler and quicker replacement of the lateral half-impressions () of the mold (). The blow mold () provides that the lateral half-impression () of each half-mold () is fixed in a cavity of the corresponding mold holder () by means of actuating at least one quick coupling device ('). Said quick coupling device (&#x2032;) comprises a force multiplier mechanism (&#x2032;) configured so as to actuate a respective locking element (&#x2032;) from an unlocking position, in which the half-mold () or a part thereof may be extracted from the mold holder (), to a locking position, in which half-mold () and mold holder () are integrally locked to each other, or vice versa.

An injection molding machine and method of injection molding is provided, in which an upper platen, a moving platen, and a cavity-carrying platen are used. A removable member (cylinder) is provided to limit travel of the moving platen towards the cavity-carrying platen and to support the moving platen.
