Method for the transmission of data using self-diagnostic pulse width modulation

In an electric locking system, a controllable switching device is disposed in connection cables between the driver module for triggering an electric motor of a central locking system and a supply voltage. The controllable switching device is opened in a standby mode and thus interrupts the supply voltage to the driver module.
