The present invention relates to methods for adhering tissue surfaces and materials and biomedical uses thereof. In particular the present invention relates to a method for adhering a first tissue surface to a second tissue surface in a subject in need thereof, comprising the steps of adsorbing a layer of nanoparticles on at least one of the tissue surfaces, and approximating the surfaces for a time sufficient for allowing the surfaces to adhere to each other. The present invention also relates to a method for adhering a material to a biological tissue in a subject in need thereof, comprising the steps of adsorbing a layer of nanoparticles on the surface of the material and/or the biological tissue and approximating the material and the biological tissue for a time sufficient for allowing the material and the biological tissue to adhere to each other.

Disclosed is a composition including a network of cross-linked polymers. The network is prepared by one of the following radical copolymerisations. First, there is copolymerization of monomers, polymer of interest precursors, the monomers carrying at least one functional group that is polymerisable by radical polymerization. Polymer network composition having a semi-crystalline covalently crosslinked polymer network including exchangeable covalent bonds and crosslinking bonds and at least an exchange reaction catalyst, wherein the number of crosslinking bonds is sufficient for the polymer network to be beyond the gel point and the number of exchangeable bonds is sufficient for the network to relax stresses and/or flow when conditioned at an appropriate temperature. The object of the invention is polymer compositions comprising cross-linked polymer comprising boronic ester functions enabling exchange reactions, as well as free monofunctional boronic esters.
