The tank preferably has at least one local ventilation heater extending from a discharge for liquid on the tank bottom over at least one tank side to the vicinity of a tank top.

A method for determining an amount of liquid removed from a tank per unit time includes discontinuously feeding the liquid to exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine by at least feeding the liquid through an injection line into the exhaust gas, measuring pressures simultaneously at least at two points in the injection line and determining an amount of liquid fed in per unit time from the measured pressures. The amount of liquid removed between a first point in time and a second point in time is further derived by integrating the amounts of liquid removed per unit time over a period of time from the first point in time to the second point in time. The method allows the precise consumption of the liquid to be calculated and the remaining amount of liquid in the tank to be additionally determined. On-board diagnosis is further possible with the method.

A particle separator for treating the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine includes at least one metallic layer through which exhaust gas can flow. The metallic layer is located in a housing that includes an inlet opening, an outlet opening and a central axis. The housing is provided with at least one inspection or maintenance opening that laterally penetrates the housing and provides a passage through to the metallic layer. The particle separator can, in particular, remain operational without having to be dismantled or can autonomously remain fully open to a flow at all times. The particle separator has a large surface for providing the lowest possible flow resistance and a low risk of clogging. A motor vehicle having at least one particle separator is also provided.

A device for delivering reducing agent from a tank to a metering unit includes a pulsating delivery pump for delivering reducing agent in a delivery direction through a delivery line from the tank to the metering unit. The delivery line includes at least two separate ducts in regions downstream of the delivery pump in the delivery direction. The ducts form flow paths having different propagation times for the reducing agent. This leads, in particular, to cost-effective noise reduction for such delivery systems. A motor vehicle having the device is also provided.

A honeycomb body for an exhaust-gas purification system may be used, for example, as a carrier body for catalytically acting coatings or as a filter, absorber or mixer in the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. The honeycomb body has channels, an axial main direction, a planar front surface, a planar end surface and a circumferential surface disposed parallel to the axial main direction. The front surface and/or the end surface are disposed obliquely with respect to the axial main direction. Such a honeycomb body is advantageous, in particular, for applying reducing agent to the oblique end or front surface. A process for producing a structure in a smooth sheet-metal strip includes multiple process steps. In a first step, a first section of a smooth sheet-metal strip is fed to a first tool and a second section of the sheet-metal strip is fed to a second tool in a direction of advance. Then the sheet-metal strip is stopped. A sheet-metal machining of the first section of the sheet-metal strip is carried out using the first tool. A sheet-metal machining of the second section of the sheet-metal strip is carried out using the second tool, with the first feeding step being carried out simultaneously. An apparatus is provided for producing a sheet-metal strip of such a complex structure, which produces the structure with a very high degree of accuracy even when the materials properties differ.
