For an articulation of a vibration damper for a washing machine the vibration damper has an articulated bush supported in a bearing. The latter has cheeks accommodating between them the articulated bush and having inlets for a bearing body leading to a bearing opening. The bearing body is retained in the bearing openings by means of an elastic locking mechanism in the direction of the inlets.

Washing machine

A frictional damper, in particular for washing machines with spinning action, comprises a circular cylindrical housing and a tappet which is coaxially displaceable inside the housing and extends out of it with one end, the other end being provided with a friction piston. The friction piston has at least one friction coating made of an elastically resilient material and is provided with a grease storage chamber. In order to prevent a decrease of damping because of change from lubricated to dry friction and in order not to disturb the friction proportions between friction coating and inner wall of the housing, the grease storage chamber is provided within the friction piston and is connected by way of at least one grease channel with a grease chamber which is formed at the outer circumference of the friction piston and which is open towards the inner wall of the housing.

An elevating mechanism for chairs, tables or the like has a guide tube for a gas spring. The guide tube has a bottom plate with an opening. In its section penetrating through the bottom plate the piston rod is provided with a necking on which a retaining ring is arranged.

A gas spring has a housing closed at one end and a piston rod brought out of the other end of the housing. The housing is detachably mounted in a surrounding tube and is able to be pushed into the latter as far as an end position. Securing elements are mounted respectively at the outer end of the piston rod and on the surrounding tube. So as to ensure that a part supported by the gas spring is reliably held also when the housing is partly pulled out of the surrounding tube a locking element for the detachable locking of the housing with the surrounding tube is provided in an intermediate position in which the housing respective to the end position is partly pulled out of the surrounding tube.

Gas spring

In a lockable elevating mechanism for the continuous adjustment of chair seats a guide tube is provided, to the bottom plate of which is secured a piston rod of a longitudinally adjustable gas spring. The guide tube is provided with an additional tube, which can be exited telescopically and and which is guided in a guide bush arrested in the guide tube. The housing of the gas spring is in turn guided in a guide bush arrested in the additional tube. A mechanical spring is provided between the guide tube and the additional tube and acts upon the additional tube in a direction out of the guide tube.

In order to prevent a decrease of damping because of change from lubricated to dry friction, the grease storage chamber is provided within the friction piston and is connected with the at least one support segment by way of at least one grease channel.

A frictional vibration damper, in particular for washing machines with an oscillatory support of a washer unit has an approximately tube-shaped housing and a tappet displaceable in it. An articulation element is provided at the outer end of each the housing and the tappet. Further, a friction piston bearing with a friction coating on the internal wall of the housing is formed on the tappet, which friction piston is extendable by means of a linearly operating servomotor. In order to achieve high safety in operation at little expenditure, the servomotor is arranged in the tappet. It is formed by an electrically heatable thermoactuator element having a housing with a piston which changes its position relative to the housing upon heating. The piston of the servomotor directly bears against an expansion member serving to expand the friction piston.

Frictional vibrator damper

A longitudinally controllable adjustment device comprises a cylindrical housing, in which a piston rod with a piston is slidable and sealingly extending outwards. Furthermore it comprises a valve for controlling length adjustment of the device. In order to avoid a destruction of seals preventing a flow to the outside of pressure medium at least two seals are provided between the housing and the piston rod whereby a seal between the outer end of the housing and a further seal prevents an inflow of gas and in particular of liquid from the outside into the housing.

A frictional damper, in particular for washing machines with spinning action, comprising a circular cylindrical housing and a tappet which is coaxially displaceable inside the housing and extends out of it with one end, the other end being provided with an approximately cylindrical friction piston. The friction piston has at least one friction coating made of an elastically resilient material and is provided with a grease chamber open towards the inner wall of the housing. In order to prevent a loss of damping because of a change from lubricated to dry friction, an extension tube is formed on the end of the tappet which is inside the housing which, together with an adjoining bracing flange and the inner wall of the housing, defines a grease collecting chamber.

A frictional damper has a tubular housing and a slide which is guided slidably in this housing in the direction of its longitudinal axis. In the area of its end on the slide exit side, the housing is provided with a damping lining which bears against the slide. In order to achieve the setting and maintaining of constant frictional conditions, which can if necessary be varied from one frictional damper to another, at low cost, the damping lining is arranged in a separate damping housing which is inserted into the tubular housing from the end on the slide exit side and is fixed axially at this point in the direction of its longitudinal axis. In an otherwise identical housing and slide the damping housing and/or the damping lining can each have a different design.

A gas spring substantially comprises a cylindrical housing, closed on one end, and a piston rod located concentrically in it and extending in a sealed manner from its other end, the piston rod being provided on its end located in the housing with a piston assembly resting on the inner wall of the housing and being guided in a damped manner. In order to attain a relatively broad hysteresis, which is desirable when the gas spring is used for retaining the upper parts of sun-tanning benches or automobile hatchbacks or the like, the piston assembly has a friction damping liner resting against the inner wall of the housing and made of an expanded plastic, which is open-celled and impregnated with lubricant on its friction face resting on the inner wall.

A gas spring with end positions damping has a cylindrical housing filled with a fluid under pressure, in which a piston rod, sealingly extending from one end of the housing, is disposed to be coaxially slideable and on the inner end of which a piston is attached. To create an end position damping that is simple in structure, and which can be used purely pneumatic, purely hydraulic or hydropneumatic, an auxiliary piston in the form of a throttle piston is slidingly disposed on the piston rod, which is supported via an energy accumulator towards the end of the housing where the piston rod exits. The piston abuts against this auxiliary piston at the end of the extension movement of the piston rod. Its throttle effect is larger during movement in the direction toward the end where the piston rod exits than in the opposite direction.

Gas spring with end position damping

An adjustable-length gas spring has a compressed gas-filled housing in which a piston with a piston rod is sealingly guided. At one end of the housing is provided a valve with a valve pin for connecting or separating two housing chambers, the valve pin being movable into the housing against the force exerted thereon by the gas pressure with the valve in the open position. The pin is movable against such force when the valve is in the closed position. There is also a permanent release mechanism for securing the valve pin when the valve is in the open position. In order to permit a particularly simple operation of the gas spring, the permanent release mechanism is formed by a bi-stable locking mechanism constructed in the manner of a mechanical flip-flop and which is coupled to the valve pin, being operated by the insertion thereof into the housing.

A friction damper, especially for washing machines with a spin cycle, consists of a housing (1) having a substantially circular cylindrical inner wall and a tappet (2) that can be pushed coaxially into the housing, extending at one end out of the housing and at the other end being provided with a friction piston. The friction piston is provided with friction elements pressed elastically against the inner wall of the housing (1), and securing elements (4, 8) are formed on the respective ends of the tappet (2) and housing (1). To attain a considerable reduction in the damping forces once there has been a passage through the critical rpm level, the housing (1) is made of plastic.
