A method is for status monitoring at least one of two or more current-carrying electrical components, suppliable with electrical energy from an electrical energy source via a common current feed line and from the common current feed line in each case via a separate current supply line, individually openable or closable. In an embodiment, the method includes detecting measured values of an electrical variable in the common current feed line before and after opening or closing one or a plurality of the current supply lines; calculating a difference between a measured value detected before opening or closing and a measured value detected after opening or closing; and determining a status change of at least one of the two or more components based upon a time series of the difference.

A protective device is disclosed for combination with an electrical switching device including a main current line or for integration in such a switching device. In at least one embodiment, the protective device includes a switching element and a switching apparatus, which is provided for the actuation of the switching element and is influenced by a current flow through the main current line. In at least one embodiment, in order to influence the switching apparatus, a current transformer is integrated in the main current line and an electrical resistance of a secondary winding surrounded by the current transformer can be measured. A method for operating a protective device is also disclosed wherein the switching apparatus is triggered so as to actuate the switching element if the measured resistance reaches or exceeds a predetermined or predeterminable threshold value.

A switching device unit is disclosed for switching at least two operating states of at least one consumer to an at least two-phase electrical supply system by way of switching elements. At least one embodiment of the invention specifies a switching device unit which has as simple a construction as possible and is as cost-effective and compact as possible. The anchor and the contact bridge are actively connected to each other such that the corresponding main contact can be opened or closed when switched on and off. In at least one embodiment, the method includes the following: a) the path difference, which returns the anchor after switching on and off, is recognised, b) devices which are used to open welded main contacts are released by a release device when the recognised path difference exceeds a predetermined value and a specific time duration of time has run out after switching off.

A method and a device for the secure operation of a switching device are disclosed, including at least one main contact which can be switched on and off and which includes contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and also at least one control magnet which includes a displaceable anchor. The anchor acts upon the contact bridge when it is switched on or off such that the corresponding main contact is opened and closed. In at least one embodiment, the method includes: a) the displaceable contact bridge of the at least one main contact recognizes when an opening point has been exceeded after being switched off, and b) the additional operation of the switching device is interrupted, according to a predetermined duration of time, when the opening point is not exceeded.

A method and a device for secure operation of a switching device including at least two main contacts which can be switched on and off and include contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and a control magnet having a displaceable anchor. The method may include producing an electric control signal to release a contact breaking device when the control magnets are switched on and off. The emitted control signal lies outside the ON state of the switching contact during the regular operation of the switching device and releasing the contact breaking device in defective operation of the switching device if the switching contact remains in the ON state when the control magnets are switched on or off. The switching contact may connect through the control signal to release the contact breaking device.

A method and a device are disclosed for the secure operation of a switching device including at least two main contacts which can be switched on and off and which includes respectively, contact pieces and a displaceable contact bridge, and at least one control magnet which includes a displaceable anchor. A method for producing a switching device with a switching device with a switching structure (). The method includes producing a molded part, which includes a cage formed by opposing first sidewalls () and a bottom wall () integrally connecting the first sidewalls, and second sidewalls () integrally connected to the cage assembly, severing the molded part at a point where the second sidewalls are connected to the cage, and inserting the cage and the severed second sidewalls into a bottom part such that a defined gap () is left, respectively, between the cage and the second sidewalls.

A method and device are disclosed for safely operating a switching device with at least one main contact, which can be switched on or off, and which has contact elements and a moving contact bridge, and with at least one control magnet, which has a moving armature. During switching on and off, the armature acts upon the contact bridge whereby closing and opening the corresponding main contact. At least one embodiment of the method includes the following: a) identifying whether the moving contact bridge of the at least one main contact has surpassed an opening point after the switching off; and b) interrupting the further operation of the switching device when the opening point has not been surpassed after a predetermined period of time.

Method and device for the safe operation of a switching device

There is described a switching device whose disconnection cause can be identified, and a method for displaying the disconnection cause of a switching device. The switching device has a switch latch for mechanical activation of the switching device, a first tripper for overload protection, a second tripper for short-circuit protection, and a handle for activating the switch latch.
