The invention relates to a method and a device for producing polyesters such as for example polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate from precondensates. According to said method, vapors comprising precondensate components that are distributed therein in the form of an aerosol are guided through a polycondensation reactor in which precondensate components condense on the reactor wall and on a separator in an exit chamber of the reactor. The condensates are guided to the unstirred discharge sump and the upper layers of the discharge sump are continuously recirculated into the stirred reactor area thereby subjecting them to reconversion and additional polycondensation.

Method for producing polyesters and a disk ring reactor for the method

A method of making shaped articles from highly condensed polyester melt and especially preforms for the blow molding of food and especially beverage containers. A melt is continuously withdrawn from the polycondensation reactor and is fed to the shape-imparting units, especially a multiplicity of injection-molding machines without solidification between the final reactor and the injection molders and without degassing between the final reactor and the injection molding machines.

Method for the direct and continuous production of hollow articles from a polymer melt

The invention relates to a device which enables nozzles to be changed without changing the pressure conditions in the container or device associated therewith. According to the invention a connector piece support () is fixed to a pressurised container () wherein a medium () is guided into said container through a nozzle () by means of a lance (). Said connector piece is connected to a sealing housing () by means of a locking device () in order to receive the lance (). Sealing rings () are arranged in the sealing housing () thereby ensuring pressure-tightness in relation to the container () and the surrounding area when the lance () is inserted into the sealing housing ().

An apparatus for processing high viscosity materials consisting of a heatable, horizontal vessel with a product inlet on the one end and a product outlet on the other end and, parallel to the axis of the vessel, a heatable rotating hollow shaft, supporting a plurality of heatable stirrer elements, and between these stirrer elements, fixed to the wall of the vessel, stationary baffle and scraping elements of different configurations. Each stirrer element comprises one to four stirrer wings, each with two hollow spokes and a peripheral, hollow ring-segment connecting the spokes, and fixed to the peripheral end of these ring-segment connections trailing product dragging blades.
