An X-ray detector, including a stacking arrangement, includes an evaluation unit and a carrier unit. The evaluation unit and the carrier unit are electrically conductively connected via a plurality of connecting elements. An interspace is formed between the evaluation unit, the carrier unit and the plurality of connecting elements. A protective element is formed on side faces of the carrier unit, arranged essentially parallel to a stacking direction of the stacking arrangement. The protective element is formed in at least one section of the side faces along the entire outer circumference and along the edges of the side faces, facing the evaluation unit.

A sensor board for a detector module is disclosed. It includes, in a stack construction, at least one reader unit and a sensor layer arranged spaced from the reader unit in the direction of the stack. A gap formed by the spacing between the sensor layer and the reader unit is filled with a cured filling material such that at least one edge region of the sensor layer is free of the filling material. Furthermore, a method is disclosed for manufacturing a corresponding sensor board, and a detector module is disclosed for an X-ray detector having a number of sensor boards which are arranged to be mutually adjacent on a module carrier.

An imaging device for electromagnetic radiation, especially for x-ray and/or gamma radiation, is disclosed. In an embodiment, the imaging device includes a layering including a number of detection elements, a number of read-out boards and a base board. Each of the detection elements is electrically contacted with a respective read-out board via a plurality of first solder contacts. Each read-out board includes a plurality of through-contacts and is electrically contacted with the base board via a plurality of second solder contacts.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a radiation detector which includes a plurality of radiation detector modules arranged adjacent to one another with in each case one scintillation element with a radiation inlet surface aligned transversely with respect to a main direction of a radiation, and light detector arrangements arranged transversely with respect to the radiation inlet surfaces of the scintillation elements. In the process of at least one embodiment, one light detector arrangement is arranged between two scintillation elements and has two light inlet surfaces which point away from one another, of which one is associated with a first scintillation element and one is associated with a second scintillation element. Furthermore, at least one embodiment of the invention relates to a light detector arrangement, a production method for a radiation detector according to at least one embodiment of the invention and/or an imaging system.

A detector module includes an array of detector elements and a printed circuit board. On a first side of the circuit board, the array of detector elements is arranged, and on a second side at least one component used for signal processing is arranged. The printed circuit board makes electrical contact with a plug connector having a free space in which the component is held. The detector module is provided for a detector of a computed tomography unit.

A detector module is disclosed, having an array of detector elements and a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board includes a first region for holding the array of detector elements and includes at least one second region, angled off relative to the first region. On this at least one second region, signal-processing electronics may be arranged. The vertical design of the detector module allows the design of an area detector to be produced on the basis of a multiplicity of detector modules arranged next to one another. The area detector may be provided for a computer tomograph.
