A piston pump, having at least one delivery plunger to deliver pressure fluid from a suction chamber via a working chamber into a pressure port, is provided with elastic damping elements arranged in the suction chamber to compensate for the occurring pressure pulsations.

A radial piston pump for a brake system in automotive vehicles. The resulting system produces little noise and is split up into various circuits. The resulting system provides damping of the pressure vibrations caused by the pump pistons. The individual channels are furnished with permanently allocated damping chambers. These damping chambers are combined with the associated outlet valves to form a replaceable construction unit (damping-chamber valve) which is adapted to a given application.

Disclosed is an anti-lock brake system of the type wherein the pressure applied on the wheel brakes can be decreased by discharging pressure fluid by way of a return line wherein the brake system includes a pump whose suction chamber communicates through a suction line with a reservoir and a return line is connected to the suction chamber.

A radial piston pump in which an annular coupling device (10), whose axially directed extensions (11) each engage a working piston, has a preset break point (15) in the area of the axial extensions (11).

Radial piston pump

A radial piston pump has diametrically opposed pistons coupled to each other by a coupling ring mounted in circumferential grooves located adjacent the facing ends of the piston. The coupling ring is formed with axially projecting bifurcated arms received in the piston grooves. The arms are of a reversely bent undulating shape which is compressed between opposed walls of the groove to firmly couple the ring to each piston. The ring is thus supported entirely by the pistons. A central opening through the ring is expanded in the direction normal to the piston axis to provide clearance for side to side motion of an eccentric which drives the pistons in reciprocation.

An electric motor driven radial piston pump for a motor vehicle brake system with slip control is disclosed wherein the radial piston pump includes two parallel working circuits drivable by the drive motor. The working pressure of the first working circuit is limited to a preset value. Above the preset value only the second working circuit is effective.

A radial piston pump with at least one pair of pistons which alternately perform working strokes and are arranged in a stationary cylinder block with working chambers comprising inlet valves and outlet valves. An eccentric shaft controls the radial movement of the pistons and an annular device connects the radially outward end portions of the pistons. To avoid friction between eccentric and pistons, provisions are made that the eccentric shaft is supported outside of the cylinder block. The radially outward end portions of the pistons project radially outwardly from the cylinders and, by way of the annular device, take support on the eccentric of the eccendtric shaft. The eccentric is rotatably supported in the annular device.

To improve the denseness of a reservoir telltale sounding device of a reservoir for a hydraulic brake system, while reducing the costs of manufacture and assembly, the plug portion comprises a first face and a second face which are respectively connected, in liquid-tight manner, to the housing of the reservoir telltale sounding device and the cover.

In a hydraulic motor vehicle brake system with slip control comprising a pressure accumulator (13), a hydraulic pump (23), a non-return valve (2) and a brake power booster (17). The pressure outlet of the pump (23) is connected with the pressure accumulator and with an inlet of the brake power booster (17) via the non-return valve (2). The outlet side of the non-return valve (2) is connected with the inlet of the brake power booster (17) via the pressure accumulator (13) in order to reduce noises caused by pressure pulsations in the fluid flow of the pump (23).

Hydraulic brake system for motor vehicles

A radial piston pump includes an axially slidable rotor which is rotatably connected to a connected shaft through a spring clutch engaging one end face of the rotor. The rotor is located in a housing or in the stator so as to constitute a frontal gap between the rotor and the housing or stator on the pressure side of the machine, through which frontal gap, during operation of the device, pressure fluid of the pressure side is permitted to be supplied to at least one sector area of that end face of the rotor opposite the spring clutch. This causes centering of the rotor by the spring clutch and by the pressure of the pressure side in such a manner that no metallic contacts occur in an axial direction and, thus, no friction losses.

Radial piston machine

In a radial piston machine, there is provided an outer stator and an inner rotor rotatable on a control pintle provided with supply and discharge channels. The rotor contains at least one radial bore in which is slidable a spherical piston comprising an outer ball and an inner cylindrical sleeve. The radially inward end of the sleeve, which end is adapted to be acted upon by the outlet pressure of the machine, includes a sealing lip which, during operation, in particular at higher pressures, expands circumferentially and, under certain circumstances, moves in sealing abutment with the inner wall of the radial bore.

The spherical piston pump comprises an outer stator and an inner rotor rotatable on a control pintle provided with supply and discharge channels. The rotor contains at least one radial bore in which is slidable a spherical piston including an outer ball, a cylindrical sleeve and an inner ball. The outer ball, sleeve and inner ball are not fastened to one another and can be replaced independently of each other. Annular sliding members made of low-friction and sound-damping material can be integrated into the ends of the sleeve, each of the sliding members being in line contact with the associated one of the two balls. The construction provides good volumetric efficiency even at high pressure and an improved overall efficiency of the pump.

Spherical piston pump

Hydraulic brake systems are known which comprise antiskid control valves and a pressure fluid source where pressure fluid is fed via a valve device and an antiskid control valve to a wheel brake cylinder. The pressure fluid source includes two jointly driven pumps. The disadvantage of such a system is the constant presence of a high pump output although this high output is only rarely required. Therefore, according to the present invention, an energy saving is realized by having the suction connection of a first of two jointly driven pumps connected to a pressure fluid reservoir and the suction connection of a second of two jointly driven pumps connected to the pressure fluid outlet of an antiskid control valve.
