A trocar sleeve includes a distal tubular section, a section which connects to the distal tubular section at a proximal side of the distal tubular section and which is widened proximally, and at least one spiral with a circular outer contour, arranged helically on a periphery of the distal tubular section. The distal tubular section includes a rounded polygonal cross section so that maximal degrees of freedom of the applied instruments result.

Trocar sleeve

An endoscopic instrument includes a shank () having at least one guide channel () for a laser probe (), and a flexible narrowing provided in a section of the guide channel () connecting to its distal end. The flexible narrowing allows a clear diameter of the guide channel () to be changed in at least one direction.

Endoscopic instrument

An endoscopic instrument with a hollow shank which on the proximal side is provided with a connection part with at least one suction connection and/or rinsing connection, with a coupling part for fixing a working insert. The coupling part is mounted rotatably with respect to the connection part and the coupling part is detachably connected to the connection part. The endoscopic instrument further includes an annular axial seal which is arranged between the connection part and the coupling part.

In the inside of an outer shank there are formed a supply channel and a discharge channel which extend parallel to the outer shank. The suction channel has a larger cross section than the supply channel.

Resectoscope

The forceps serves for coagulating and severing the body tissue of a patient by way of a forceps jaw which consists of two jaw parts, is actuatable with a proximate handle for opening and closing and is located at the distal forceps end, wherein on the distal end section of a first jaw part a hook projects towards the second jaw part, said hook fixing the tissue, grasped between the jaw parts given a closed forceps jaw, in the forceps jaw. On the first jaw part additionally there is provided a proximally running web which proceeds directly from the hook and projects in the direction of the second jaw part.

Bipolar forceps

The stricture scalpel serves for endoscopic use and consists of a blade with a cutter and a stem which is inserted into the distal end of a shank and here is unreleasably connected to this. The shank consists of stainless steel and the blade of a ceramic material.

The transurethral dissection electrode has a shank and an electrode head located at the distal shank end. The electrode head essentially consists of at least one distally tapering truncated cone body with two oppositely lying flattenings.

An electrode for vaporizing tissue is disclosed which has a head provided with projections and recesses and which is supported by at least one externally insulated electrically conducting branch. In order to provide a better and more effective electrode with regard to vaporization power and which can be easily cleaned and cheaply manufactured, the head which is rigidly fixed to the branch comprises essentially of part of a rotationally symmetrical body.

Electrode for vaporizing tissue

A device for the injection of substances into human tissue by means of an injection cannula (2.0) is axially adjustable along an endoscope shaft (1.0). The cannula is proximally connected to a coupling (1.8). Allocated to the endoscope shaft (1.0) is a guide tube (1.2) for the injection cannula (2.0), which is inserted into this guide tube (1.2) from the proximal end of the device and is detachably connected with the coupling (1.8). In addition, the unit including the guide tube (1.2) and the injection cannula (2.0) is axially adjustable relative to the endoscope shaft (1.0) by means of a handle (5) that can be operated with one hand.

Injection device

An endoscope for examining the interior of a canal or hollow organ. The endoscope includes an optical system and a channel for an auxiliary instrument such as a laser probe. The distal end of the endoscope shaft and that of the optical system each have a groove-shaped recess so that, upon pulling back of the auxiliary instrument into the endoscope, the probe head, guided by the edge of the recess of the endoscope shaft, is deflected laterally downward of the optical system so as not to impede the field of view of the optical system.

Endoscope

An endoscopic instrument, particularly a continuous flushing cysto-urethroscope, has an oval cross-sectioned outer shaft and an inner shaft having a contour formed by two semi-circular arcs with different diameters, the arcs having their openings facing each other and connected by two approximately straight sides. The inner shaft is so dimensioned that it contacts the inside of the outer shaft at three points in a linear manner along essentially the entire shaft length, thus forming three free spaces between the inner shaft and the outer shaft for conveying rinsing or flushing fluids. The free spaces may be closed off at their distal ends with flanges projecting from the outer surface of the inner shaft. Passageways formed within the inner shaft between its walls and examination optics and a treatment instrument, which may be inserted in the inner shaft, serve as additional channels for conveying the fluids, while circumferentially and axially spaced groups of apertures near the distal end region of the outer shaft allow passage of fluids between the treatment site and the free spaces which convey the fluids.

A resectoscope has a shaft and a lock body which is slidable along the shaft and to which the proximal end portion of a resection electrode can be fixed. A handle is provided for displacing the lock body and thus the electrode along the shaft. The handle consists of a first portion connected to the lock body and projecting radially outwardly of the lock body and a second portion connected to the shaft, for engagement by a thumb of the user of the resectoscope. The first portion of the handle is formed as a disc provided with gripping aids for the user's fingers.

An instrument for lithotripsy having a probe which can be vibrated longitnally by means of a drive and which extends through a guide channel in the shaft of an endoscope and is supported and guided externally of the shaft by a guide element aligned on the corresponding guide channel, is described. The guide element receives the housing of the probe drive also serving as a handle proximally, and its distal end can be releasably attached to a rinsing and probing attachment which can be connected to the proximal end of the endoscope and is provided with valves. The guide element is designed so that the valves can be actuated unimpeded.

Instrument for lithotripsy

In an endoscope with a camera objective, in particular a video camera objective, coupled to the eyepiece cup of the endoscope at its proximal end, the objective is mounted so that it is free to rotate on the proximal end of the eyepiece cup. The camera objective and its camera head have a center of gravity which is offset from the axis of rotation of the objective so that the objective maintains its orientation if the endoscope is rotated about its longitudinal axis, whereby such rotation of the endoscope does not affect the endoscopic picture displayed on a monitor of the video camera.

In a resectoscope, the inner barrel situated in the outer barrel, of the resectoscope is provided at the distal end, which projects beyond the outer barrel, with an insulating element to strengthen it, which element is provided in its outer surface for the length of an enlargement of the outer barrel with a part-cylindrical recess which produces at the distal end an enlarged outlet space, to which the liquid from the bladder flows in sufficient quantity via longitudinal slots in the enlargement of the outer barrel and is then extracted at the proximal end of the barrels.
