An optical plug connection for optical waveguides including a plug and a matching socket, and also a method for adjusting the plug connection. In the case of such a plug connection, the plug has at least one planar, smoothed contact area oriented with respect to a propagation direction of a light beam passing from or into the plug, for bearing on a corresponding planar, smoothed mating contact area of the socket that is oriented with respect to the propagation direction of the light beam.

Optical plug connection for optical waveguides

An apparatus for combining individual light beams to form a coaxial light bundle. The apparatus has a plurality of coupling-in positions, the number of which corresponds to the number of light beams, and also at least one coupling-out position. It is suitable for generating a collimated beam bundle as a multicolor source for use in digital image generation. The apparatus includes an apparatus base body with the coupling-in positions for the light beams and with a coupling-out position for the light bundle and adjusting devices for coaxially orienting the individual light beams relative to the beam direction of the light bundle. The coaxial light bundle can optionally emerge as free beam at the coupling-out position or into an optical waveguide via connecting elements.

Apparatus for combining individual light beams of different wavelengths to form a coaxial light bundle

A device for injecting light into an optical wave guide orients a focused light beam using a manipulator. The manipulator includes an adjusting plate with an outer part, an inner part, and two spring arrangements between the outer part and the inner part that are independently adjustable along two co-ordinate axes, each spring arrangement having a parallel spring arrangement guiding parallel to a certain direction, and a preliminary spring mounted in series, a fixing screw, and an axially elastic fixing disk. The inner part can be moved in the X direction and in the Y direction, and the fixing disk can be pressed into the adjusting plate by the fixing screw screwed into the housing part, in the direction of the passage of the beam, such that the adjusted position of the inner part is fixed.
