Method for allocating resources

The present invention relates to a method for communicating from a primary station to a plurality of secondary station, comprising the step of at the primary station allocating a resource to the secondary stations over the time on the basis of a hash function, wherein the hash function is such that the probability that two secondary stations are allocated common resources in two subframes substantially equals the product of the probability that the two secondary stations are allocated a common resource in the first subframe and the probability that the two secondary stations are allocated a common resource in the second subframe.

Method for communicating in mobile system

A method of creating an encryption system for encrypting a plurality of plaintext words is provided. The method comprises associating () respective plaintext words () with respective sets () of error positions () of an error vector, and associating () respective values of at least one of the plaintext words () with respective error vector values, wherein positions of the respective error vector values outside the set () of error positions associated with the one of the plaintext words () are zero. A data storage and replay device uses measurements of the evolution of performance of the storage medium (typically a flash memory circuit) to predict an error rate of retrieval from a region of the storage medium. The prediction is used as a basis for dynamically selecting an ECC for encoding the data prior to storage of the data. The ECC is selected from a plurality of available ECC's so that a fastest encodable ECC is selected that is predicted to produce no more than a predetermined post-decoding error rate given the information. On decoding the data, which is typically audio or video data, is decoded and replayed at a predetermined speed. In another embodiment, the data stored using a plurality of ECC's together and an ECC is selected dynamically for decoding, so that an output data rate can be maximized or power consumption on replay can be minimized.
