A pyrotechnic circuit breaker comprising: a casing, at least two connection terminals, an internal electrical circuit connecting the two connection terminals and formed for example by an electrical conductor, an opening member, which is movable and arranged to open a part to be opened of the internal electrical circuit when moving between an initial position and a final position, so as to form at least two discrete portions of conductor after opening, a pyrotechnic actuator arranged to move the opening member from the initial position to the final position, an inner chamber defined by an internal wall formed in the casing, and receiving the part to be opened, an insulating grease, arranged in the inner chamber, wherein the insulating grease is arranged on or covers at least two predetermined parts of the internal wall.

A pyrotechnic switch having a casing, at least one electrical conductor passing through the casing, a piston housed in the casing, the piston-casing assembly being designed to cut the electrical conductor at least at three separate locations, so as to form at least two free conductive strands, separate from the rest of the electrical conductor, a pyrotechnic actuator designed to force the piston to cut the electrical conductor, wherein the piston-casing assembly is designed to cut the electrical conductor such that each free strand has at least one base portion with either no or two folded wings arranged on either side of the base portion, and to create at least one free strand with two folded wings.

Pyrotechnic switch

A pyrotechnic switch comprises a housing formed by a first housing part and a second housing part, at least one rivet by means of which the first housing part is riveted onto the second housing part in order to form the housing, and at least one pyrotechnic actuator arranged in the housing. Further, at least one of the first housing part or the second housing part comprises a metal insert and a plastic body overmolded onto the metal insert, and the metal insert comprises a passage opening for the rivet such that the rivet is in contact with the passage opening of the metal insert.

The present invention relates to a gas generator for a motor vehicle safety device. The generator includes at least a combustion chamber and a gas tank. The combustion chamber contains a pyrotechnic initiator and pyrotechnic charge for generating gas and including at least one oxidizing material. Combustion of the charge is triggered by the initiator. The gas tank is closed towards the combustion chamber by a capsule. The capsule is suitable for giving way during combustion of the charge in order to release the gas from the tank and exhaust it towards the outside. The combustion chamber contains a metal charge of at least one metal. The metal charge is distinct from the pyrotechnic charge.
