A connection device, for mechanical ventilation and monitoring of spontaneous breathing of a patient (P), includes a fluid-guiding unit () and establishes a fluid connection between a medical arrangement () and a patient-side coupling unit (). A volume flow sensor () measures an indicator of volume flow of fluid through the fluid-guiding unit. A volume flow sensor component () engages with an interior of the fluid-guiding unit. A homogenization unit () is nonrotatably inserted into the interior between the patient-side coupling unit and the component and includes two sieves and a connection element, which connects the sieves together. The homogenization unit homogenizes the flow of fluid through the fluid-guiding unit. An inner profile of the fluid-guiding unit and an outer profile of the homogenization unit together form a mechanical coding, which determines a defined rotation position of the homogenization unit in relation to the fluid-guiding unit.

A nonreturn valve () for a compact ventilation system (), includes a recoil membrane () and a holding element () for holding the recoil membrane () and for fastening the nonreturn valve () at a flow duct () of the compact ventilation system (). The recoil membrane () has at least one mechanical stabilizing section () for cooperating with at least one mechanical counter-stabilizing section () of the holding element () or of the flow duct () of the compact ventilation system (). At least one opening section () is provided for the defined movement of the recoil membrane () during the opening of the nonreturn valve () and a holding section () is provided for holding the recoil membrane () at a counter-holding section () of the holding element (). A connection unit establishes a fluid connection between a patient and a ventilator. The connection unit includes a patient-side connection piece, a device-side connection piece, a port piece and a central piece, which provides a tube with a curved tube segment and is connected with a fluid-tight connection to the two connection pieces. The port piece includes a straight tube segment and a bent surface with a bent surface and with a passage opening. The port piece is inserted into a receiving opening of the central piece. The bent surface of the port piece forms a part of a wall of the curved tube segment. The straight tube segment of the port piece and the central piece provide a straight tube, which is interrupted by the passage opening. An additional device is insertable through the straight tube segment and through the passage opening into the provided tube.

A valve module () for a ventilation system (), includes a tube interface () for connection to a counter-tube interface () of an exhalation end () of a ventilation tube element () as well as a device interface () for connection to a counter-device interface () of an exhalation port () of a ventilator (). The device interface has an exhalation valve section () providing an exhalation flow () of exhaled air () with an exhalation pressure (). The exhaled air from the tube interface () flows through a module space (). A ventilation tube device (), the ventilator () as well as the ventilation system are provided with the valve module. Processes are provided for severing and establishing a connection between the device interface, the ventilation tube device and the counter-device interface of the exhalation port of the ventilator of the ventilation system.

A medical device has a fluid port (), a tube (), a socket (), which can be connected to the fluid port and to the tube with freely selectable rotation positions. The tube is provided with a transponder () and with a writing and reading device for communication with the transponder, which has an antenna () in the area of the fluid port. The socket is provided with a coil () each, whose axis of rotation is directed essentially coaxially to the axis of rotation about which the relative rotation position of the socket is variable. The two coils are connected by electric lines (), to which at least one capacitor () is connected as a circuit component. The coils, the electric lines and the circuit component form an electric oscillatory circuit for transmitting signals between the writing and reading device and the transponder.

A breathing tube connecting device is provided for connecting a breathing tube to at least two respirators. The breathing tube connecting device includes a base body with a breathing gas through duct embodied in the base body, a jacket body, which can be meshed with the base body in a positive-locking manner and thus encloses at least a part of the base body in a coaxial manner, and a transponder. The transponder is provided between the base body and the jacket body. The breathing gas through duct and the jacket body are embodied at least partly as a coupling section for a selective connection of the breathing tube to one of the at least two respirators.

A humidifying device for breathing gases. The humidifying device has a housing with a recess, a heater, an evaporating chamber with a water feed, a breathing gas feed channel, a breathing gas outlet channel and at least one float element and at least one filling level indicator. The evaporating chamber can be introduced at least partially into the recess and is in contact with the heater to heat water and is designed to receive water from a water reservoir through the water feed. The at least one float element is guided in a floatingly movable manner on the water and is designed to close the feed of water above a water level set point in the evaporating chamber, and the at least one filling level indicator is designed to recognize the drop of the water level from the water level set point as a function of the position of the at least one float element.

A breathing tube system for connection to a respirator (), which is provided with a tube heater, avoids a local increase in temperature during the heating of the tube (). Resistance wires () are connected to one another on the breathing tubes () in the form of a series connection and are contacted at the respirator () in the area of an inspiration port () and of an expiration port ().

A device for releasing breathing gas establishes constant flow conditions for the breathing gas being discharged. An annular connection element () is provided between an outer part () and an inner part (), and a discharge gap () is formed between the connection element () and the outer part ().
