A link conveyor, in particular for sorting parcel items having a plurality of carrying plates arranged in succession and in close proximity to one another in the direction of conveyance, the plates being supported by supporting devices on a continuous supporting chain being drivable along the conveyor line, where (a) the supporting devices each have a bottom support section being connected to and projecting upward from the supporting chain and being connected over a tilt axle running in the conveyance direction to a top support section projecting downward from the carrying plate and attached to it; (b) each carrying plate being tiltable laterally by a tilting mechanism about the tilt axle from an essentially horizontal conveyance position into an inclined delivery position; (c) an end wall extending down at a right angle from the carrying surface is arranged on the front and/or rear edges running across the conveyance direction of each carrying plate; and (d) the carrying plates each have two partially overlapping carrying plate sections with one carrying plate section guided by a guide on the facing side of the other carrying plate section so that it can move relative to the other carrying plate section in traveling through curved sections of the conveyor line, and the other carrying plate section of a carrying plate has a flexurally stiff plate extending over the entire length of the carrying plate, and being supported on a link of the supporting chain at a distance from the overlap area.

A tilting-conveying element for a sorter-conveyer (sorter) for sorting parcels, particularly luggage pieces, comprising an essentially planar carrying base, which can be tilted from its essentially horizontal normal position around a tilting shaft running essentially in its longitudinal direction (=conveying direction) to an at least slanted delivery position, and on each of whose longitudinal edges, running essentially in its longitudinal direction, a side wall is arranged, which forms a lateral limit stop in the normal position of the carrying base, at least one side wall being movably mounted relative to the carrying base on the tilting-conveying element such that it can be moved from its limit-stop position to a second position, in which it no longer protrudes over the upper side of the carrying base, so as to form a limit stop (FIG. 1).

Tilting-conveying element for a sorter-conveyer

The invention refers to a tipping conveyor element for a continuous piece goods conveyor the driven barrow tram of which included many flexibly linked conveyor elements that each have a tray-shaped supporting plate in their upper end section. The first supporting plate sections of this supporting plate running in conveyor direction are preferably bent or curved upward in relation to the next adjacent section inward, i.e., the second supporting plate sections. A third supporting plate section is connected to a second supporting plate section inward. This third section is inclined or curved downward in relation to the adjacent second supporting plate section.

Tipping conveyor element

A tipping-conveyor element for a package conveyor, having a driven conveyor line which includes a multiplicity of conveyor elements flexibly connected to one another, elements on whose carrying surface, essentially horizontal in the conveying state, there is to be placed in each case at least one package which, by tipping the carrying surface, is to be delivered, laterally to the conveying direction, selectively to one of several delivery stations provided along the conveying track, with a carrying element exhibiting the carrying surface, an element that is braced by a support device on a support part that is movable along a guideway, wherein the carrying element is provided with a pivoted journal placed stationary on its underside, oriented downward at an incline, and can pivot around the lengthwise axis of the journal during tipping, and the journal is supported on a tipping element which, for its part, is further mounted on a support element projecting upward from the support part, a support element whose lengthwise axis runs at an angle to the lengthwise axis of the journal and can be tilted in a controlled way relative to the support element during tipping of the carrying element and the end sections of the journal and of the support element facing each other are connected to one another only by the tipping element.

Tipping-conveyor element for a package conveyor

A tipping conveyor element for a package conveyor, whose driven conveyor line includes a plurality of conveyor elements flexibly connected to one another. When the conveyor is in an untipped conveying condition, a package is placed on an essentially horizontal carrying surface. By tipping of the carrying surface, the package is delivered, as desired, to one of several delivery stations provided laterally to the conveyor direction along the conveyor track. The conveyor element includes a carrying element having a carrying surface, the carrying element being supported by a support device above a support part which is movable along a guide. The carrying element is mounted to be rotatable around a first swivel axis by means of a first shaft extending obliquely downward from the underside of the carrying element. The first swivel axis lies in a common vertical plane with a plane of symmetry of the carrying element when the carrying element is disposed in the conveying condition. It forms an acute angle with the carrying surface, whereby the first swivel axis, in tipping of the carrying element, is made to rotate in a controlled manner around a second swivel axis that is disposed at an angle with respect to the first swivel axis.
