The disclosure relates to a method for producing a battery carrier for an electric battery module of a vehicle configured to electrically operate, the method may include: providing a material blank with a blank region; providing a heat exchanger structure in the blank region, that comprises hollow channels that are inseparably connected to the material blank, wherein the hollow channels are provided to regulate a temperature of the electric battery module using a fluid; and forming the material blank into a support tray with a tray base configured to support the electric battery module and with sidewalls that delimit the tray base at the sides of the tray base, wherein the tray base is developed from the blank region.

Battery carrier for an electric motor vehicle, having a trough formed by a base and a peripheral frame coupled to the base, wherein the frame is formed from extruded hollow profiles and a cover is arranged on the frame. A side impact beam for incorporation into the structure of a motor vehicle comprises a sheet metal profile with flaring end portions and two longitudinal beads extending along the sheet metal profile and wherein the end portions that are provided with cross beads that are stamped in an additional tooling step during manufacturing and after the longitudinal beads have been formed, and are arranged in transverse disposition to the longitudinal beads and wherein the longitudinal beads and the cross beads are oriented in the same direction and the length of one cross bead corresponds approximately to the width of the two longitudinal beads, such that the so configured cross beads provide a stabilizing effect of the end portions and ensure the flattening of the connecting surfaces, thereby leading to a reduction of assembly problems.

A workpiece having regions of different ductility is made by first coating opposite faces of a flat sheet-metal workpiece of low ductility and then stripping the coating from the faces in one region of the workpiece while leaving the coating on the faces in another region of the workpiece. The workpiece is then deformed into a three-dimensional profile. Only the one uncoated region of the workpiece is heated and thereby hardened while not significantly heating the other coated region of the workpiece.

A side impact structure for incorporation between an outer shell and an inner door panel of a door of a motor vehicle, includes an elongate section member having an attachment element. Secured to the attachment element is a blocking element which at least partially bridges a spacing between the outer shell and the inner door panel to thereby prevent access to the actuating mechanism of the door lock via a gap in the outer shell.

A B-column comprises a component of a car body for a motor vehicle. The B-column constitutes a longitudinal steel profile. The invention provides that the longitudinal profile has a first longitudinal portion comprised of a martensitic material structure and a strength of more than 1400 N/mm and has a second longitudinal portion of higher ductility with a predominantly ferritic-perlitic material structure and a strength of below 850 N/mm . The lower longitudinal portion is wider then the upper longitudinal portion and has an elongation at rupture which is below 25%.

B-column for motor vehicle

A side impact support is described that can be incorporated in a vehicle door, for example, the door of an automobile. The side impact support is made of a metal sheet with a hat-shaped cross-section and two lateral legs connected by a web. The width of the end sections of the side impact support increases towards its end faces. According to the invention, the hat-shaped cross-section of the end sections extends to the end faces and increases in height and width. Preferably, side flanges projecting in the transverse direction are provided on the longitudinal edges of the profile, wherein the side flanges extend beyond the end sections to the end faces.

A bumper arrangement for a front end or a rear end of an automobile having a bumper cover enclosing the bumper arrangement has a transverse support having a first and a second end. First and second spacer consoles are connected to the first and second ends of the transverse support, respectively. First and second stop plates are connected to the first and second spacer consoles opposite the transverse support. The first and second stop plates secure the bumper arrangement to longitudinal support beams of the car body extending in the longitudinal direction of the automobile. A transverse beam is positioned below the transverse support in a mounted position of the bumper arrangement. Spacer stays connect the transverse beam to the stop plates and are positioned below the spacer consoles. The transverse support and/or the spacer consoles, at least over portions thereof, have two or more deformation areas arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the automobile. These deformations areas have different force levels.

A side impact beam for integration in a vehicle door of a motor vehicle has a beam member having a hat-shaped profiled section extending at least over a preponderant portion of a length of the beam member. The hat-shaped profiled section has a longitudinal stay and leg portions connected to opposed edges of the stay. The hat-shaped profiled section has an end section facing a door column when mounted in the vehicle door. A hook is connected to the end section and angled toward the door column, wherein the hook is configured to engage an opening in an inner sheet metal part of the vehicle door. The hook has a hat-shaped cross-section and is arranged at an end face of the end section, wherein the end section has a height tapering in a direction toward the hook.

A door frame for motor vehicles includes a window channel laterally defined by an outer door panel and an inner door panel, wherein the outer door panel and the inner door panel are provided adjacent of the window opening with longitudinally extending stiffening or reinforcement members located in the window channel. The reinforcement members are circumferentially closed tubular sections having an essentially oval cross-section, wherein the reinforcement members are adapted in their shape to the inner surfaces of the outer door panel and the inner door panel.

A side impact beam for a passenger vehicle, particularly for a vehicle door, includes a hat-shaped profiled section which is open toward the external panelling of the passenger vehicle and has at least one web facing away from the external panelling, two legs connected to the web and directed toward the external panelling and two flanges connected to the ends of the legs and facing away from each other, wherein, starting from the transverse plane in the middle of the beam, the height of the profiled section decreases continuously toward the ends of the beam provided with increased width flanges serving for securing the beam to the vehicle chassis. The height of the profiled section may decrease in accordance with a uniform or non-uniform curve pattern.
