The suction drums are rotatably mounted on a shaft that is attached to the support element. The support element is formed from two half shells that form the suction channel and are connected to each other by way of attachment means, wherein each of the half shells has an outwardly projecting tubular suction insert. The suction inserts are disposed coaxially opposite each other, and each suction insert has at least one bearing element that is provided with a passage and has at least one brace, by way of which the shaft is held in the radial direction.

A device for compacting a fiber composite on a spinning machine includes consecutive drafting arrangement roller pairs. A compaction unit is pivotably mounted on the machine frame downstream of the delivery roller pairs with a pivot axis parallel to the rotational axes of the delivery roller pair, and includes a support with a suction drum rotatably supported on the support. At the end of a suction zone of the drum, a nip roller is fastened to the support to form a nip line. The support is spring-loaded to form a drive connection between the lower roller of the delivery roller pair and the suction drum, wherein the suction drum is moved against the lower roller. Guide means fix the compaction unit in position as mounted on the machine frame, and the spring element is mounted on the free end of the pressure lever.

A compacting unit for compacting a fiber composite supplied by a drafting unit of a spinning machine has a beam on which at least one suction drum equipped with a suction zone is rotatably mounted on an axle. A clamping roller mounted on the beam is in contact with the suction drum to form a clamping line at the end of the suction zone under the action of a pressure element mounted on the beam. The clamping roller is mounted so it is rotationally movable on a pressure arm that is equipped with a spring element and is mounted on the beam so it can pivot over a pivot axis.

In order that by swiveling a top roller support arm upwards, the clearer roller is lifted off the roller surfaces to be cleaned and is able to adapt to different diameter ratios (D/D) of the rollers so that a consistent pressure distribution on the roller surfaces to be cleaned is ensured, the longitudinal direction (L) of the guide runs at a distance (a) to a plane (E) in which lie the two axes of the rollers that are arranged at a radial distance (b) from one another.

The invention relates to a device for compacting a sliver (V) on a spinning machine. At least one rotatably supported nip roller () is associated with a compaction element downstream from a suction zone (Z) to form a nip line (P). The compaction element () and the nip roller () are rotatably supported on a shared support () that is detachably fastened to the spinning machine via fastening means (). The compaction element () has at least one drive element () that forms a drive connection with a bottom roller () of a pair of delivery rollers () via a weighting device () when the compaction element is transferred from an idle position to an operating position. The support has a suction channel (SK) for the suction air of the compaction element (). A first end (S) of the suction channel (SK) is connected to the compaction element, and a second end (S) of the suction channel (SK) ends in the area of the support (), by means of which the support in its installed position is fastened to the spinning machine.

The invention relates to a spinning machine, the drafting arrangement of which comprises a drafting arrangement unit () with a first pair of rollers consisting of a first bottom roller () and a first top roller (). The drafting arrangement unit () is configured as an assembly which is detachably fastened to the spinning machine by means of a fastening device (). The drafting arrangement unit () is designed for one spinning station or as a twin drafting arrangement unit for two adjacent spinning stations. The unit can also include further rollers which, together with the first pair of rollers, form a drafting zone of the drafting arrangement.

In the donning and doffing operation of a spinning machine, a tube (20) is pushed onto a packaged tube (14), whereby the thread (7) remains unbroken. The package (14) and the tube (20) are rotated together, until a few turns of the thread (7) are wound on to the tube (20). The tube (20) is subsequently held and the packaged tube containing the package (14) is removed. Subsequently, the empty spindle (15) is guided into the tube (20) for subsequent spinning operations without the necessity for removing overwindings which normally occur.

The spinning device for open-end spinning comprises a withdrawal nozzle secured to a cover of a rotor housing for a spinning rotor and a nozzle body coacting with the withdrawal nozzle. The withdrawal nozzle and the nozzle body conjointly form a withdrawal passage or channel for the thread or the like produced by the spinning rotor. The cover is provided with a receiving socket which fixes the position of the nozzle body in radial direction, the nozzle body being inserted into the receiving socket. The nozzle body is pressed against the withdrawal nozzle by means of a manually-operable elastic device. The formation of the receiving socket permits insertion and removal of the nozzle body from the front side, that is from the service side of the spinning device. This provides the advantage of ready accessibility of the nozzle body and, in turn, thus affords easy replacement thereof. Replacement can be carried out without the use of tools. This also has the significant advantage of elimination of the risk of damage or scratching of the spinning device, which risk otherwise is present whenever tools are used.
