Techniques for providing a virtual item shopping environment are presented herein. Live video of a person walking past a display is captured using a camera. One or more items are selected from a database automatically by determining an item available for sale and selecting the item without intervention from the person. One or more data records representing one or more respective items are retrieved from a database. The items are presented on a display based on the data records representing the respective items. Presentation is perform by presenting live real-time video of the person walking past the display with an overlaid view of the item available for sale to provide an unrequested view of the item available for sale.

Providing a virtual shopping environment for an item

Systems and methods are disclosed for electronically transferring currency from a source user account to a target user account in relation to a game application. A payment service provider may receive a request to transfer an amount of currency from the source user account to the target user account to be used for the game application.

Triggering in-application currency transfer

A method for providing multi-payer, location-based payments includes detecting at least one mobile device using a near field communication device. At least one of a plurality of secondary payers that is associated with a social network of a primary payer is determined to also be associated with the at least one detected mobile device. A first current location is determined, a first payee associated with the first current location is retrieved, and a preferred payment account for each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device is retrieved. A payment application is then provided that allows payments to be made to the first payee from the primary payer via a first primary payer preferred payment account and from each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device via a respective secondary payer preferred payment account.

Methods and systems for electronic devices and platforms that are configured to communicate with a wave pattern are disclosed herein. Such an electronic device may be configured to be placed on a platform. The electronic device may convert a message to be transmitted to a wave pattern. The wave pattern may be a series of vibrations, electronic pulses, or light flashes. The electronic device may then vibrate, send pulses, or flash and the platform may communicate such data to one or more other electronic devices. A receiving electronic device may detect the wave pattern and determine the message from the received wave pattern and respond accordingly.

A service provider generates a customer key and a merchant key for facilitating efficient provision of assistance, by the merchant, with the customer's shopping and payment, via customer-merchant key coupling. A service provider receives from a user who has an account with it contact card information and recipient information picture information, therefrom determines a virtual contact card and contact channels through which the virtual contact card is sent to the recipients designated by the user, and sends the virtual contact card to the designated recipients through the contact channels. The virtual contact card and contact channels may be selected from what have been previously registered, either by the user or a third person, with the service provider and stored in the user's account, or just newly created, updated, and sent from the user at the time of transmission request to the designated recipients. The virtual contact card, when updated by the user, may be automatically sent by the service provider to the same recipients that previously received a pre-updated version.

Techniques for providing a virtual item shopping environment are presented herein. A dimension module may be configured to determine one or more dimensions of a person near a display. A selection module may be configured to select one or more items from a database based on the determined dimensions. A display module configured to present the one or more items on the display. In other embodiments, the selection module may further be configured to receive a selection from the person via a user interface. The selection may indicate one of the presented items. In another embodiment, the display module may be configured to display a live real-time video of the person wearing the selected item. Systems and methods for providing multi-platform, in-application payments include transferring funds, by a payment service provider device, from a funding source to a payment account in response to receiving a first fund transfer instruction from one of a first user device and a second user device over a network. The payment service provider device then associates the payment account with a first platform application in response to receiving a first association instruction from the first user device over the network, and associates the payment account with a second platform application in response to receiving a second association instruction along with the user account information from a second user device over the network. The payment service provider device will pay for each of a first in-application purchase associated with the first platform application and a second in-application purchase associated with the second platform application using the payment account.

A system according to an embodiment comprises one or more processors; and one or more memories adapted to store a plurality of machine-readable instructions which when executed by the processor(s) are adapted to cause the system to: receive, from a user device of a user, user input search information in connection with one or more desired items of interest to the user; determine one or more service providers or entities offering the one or more desired items based on a location of the user device; and generate comparative data for the one or more service providers or entities that provide the desired item(s) based on historical data of the one or more service providers or entities and the received user input search information.

Facilitating transactions in connection with service providers

A user can obtain a list of products previously purchased at a store where the user is presently shopping via the user's mobile device. The user can use this list to determine if any of the products previously purchased should again be purchased on the present shopping trip. For example, the user can choose from an app on the mobile device to view products purchased by location. A location based shopping list system can then determine at which store the user is shopping based upon a GPS location provided by the user's mobile device. The location based shopping list system can then return the list of product previously purchased at that store.
