A vehicle includes a cabin interior, a steering wheel assembly comprising a steering column, a steering wheel and an actuator configured to move the steering handle amongst a plurality of positions, and at least one sensor for sensing a user proximate to the vehicle and generating sensed data based on the sensed user. The vehicle also includes a controller determining one or more characteristics of the user from the sensed data and controlling the actuator to actuate the steering wheel to one of the plurality of positions based on the determined one or more characteristics of the user.

A system includes a display screen positioned to display on an exterior of a host vehicle, a user interface of the host vehicle, and a computer communicatively coupled to the display screen and the user interface. The computer is programmed to, in response to detecting a target vehicle having prespecified indicia, instruct the user interface to output an instruction to an occupant of the host vehicle, and in response to detecting personnel from the target vehicle, instruct the display screen to output a message to the personnel.

The deployable assist handle includes a handle body, a flexible member coupled to the handle body, a reel configured to receive the flexible member, an actuator operatively coupled to the reel to actuate the reel to extend and retract the flexible member, at least one sensor for sensing a user proximate to the vehicle and generating sensed data based on the sensed user, and a controller determining one or more characteristics of the user from the sensed data and controlling the actuator to actuate the deployable assist handle assembly to adjust a length of the flexible member based on the determined one or more characteristics of the user.
