The invention relates to a wheel end assembly for a vehicle, comprising a wheel end bearing, a hub casing including a first material and a different second material joined together as a single piece, the hub casing comprising a radially external body of said first material and a radially internal tubular core of said second material, the tubular core being provided concentrically around the wheel end bearing, and an annular seal which is concentric with the wheel end bearing and the hub casing, wherein the annular seal has a radial extension from the wheel end bearing towards and into contact with one of the external body and the tubular core, and wherein the annular seal is spaced apart from the other one of the external body and the tubular core. The invention also relates to a wheel end arrangement and to a vehicle.

Wheel end assembly for a vehicle

The brake disc arrangement () comprises a brake disc () which extends annularly about an axially extending central axis and defines an inwardly facing circumference comprising a splined portion for transferring torques between the brake disc () and a corresponding hub, when the brake disc arrangement () is mounted to the hub. The brake disc arrangement further comprises a spring assembly () adapted to be axially connected to the corresponding hub. The inwardly facing circumference of the brake disc () comprises one or more cavities (), each cavity () being defined by axially opposing lateral walls (). The spring assembly () is partially contained in said one or more cavities (), such that a portion of the spring assembly () may abut each one out of the axially opposing lateral walls ().

Brake disc arrangement for a vehicle

A splined portion () connected to one out of a brake disc and a hub to which the brake disc is to be connected. The splined portion comprises teeth () adapted to mesh with grooves in a second splined portion () connected to the other of said brake disc and hub, and extends annularly about an axially extending central axis. At least one, preferably a plurality, of the teeth () of the splined portion () is split into at least two tooth portions () being resiliently movable towards and away from each other in a circumferential direction of the splined portion (). The splined portion () further comprises a tensioning means () adapted to releasably adjust the circumferential distance between the two tooth portions ().

Splined portion connected to one out of a brake disc and a hub

A brake assembly having a non-braking configuration and a braking configuration includes a brake shoe having a brake lining coupled thereto. An actuator is coupled to the brake shoe, the actuator movable along an actuation path between a neutral actuator position and a braking actuator position. An actuator distance between the neutral actuator position and the braking actuator position increases over time in response to a reduction in thickness of a brake lining installed on the brake shoe. Moving the actuator from the neutral actuator position to the braking actuator position past a predetermined actuation distance causes a ratchet mechanism to advance to a next sequential ratchet position, which in turn moves the neutral actuator position of the actuator a predetermined distance away from the minimum actuator position. A sensor is coupled to the ratchet mechanism for detecting the sequential ratchet position of the ratchet mechanism.
