A laundry dryer is provided with an air recirculation channel which recirculates air from an air exhaust channel to an air supply channel. The air recirculation channel comprises a recirculation air filter which removes debris from the recirculated air before it is redirected to the air supply channel. The recirculation air filter is removably accessible behind an access door at a peripheral region of an access passage to the drying chamber such that it may be easily serviced by a user of the laundry dryer. In some embodiments, the air recirculation channel may comprise a nozzle with an outlet which is concentrically arranged at an inlet of the air supply channel. In these embodiments, the nozzle may direct the recirculated air to the air supply channel such that it is enveloped by fresh air entering from within a cabinet of the laundry dryer.

The present invention refers to a laundry dryer having a removable front casing panel (). A laundry dryer according to the invention comprises a front casing panel () and a frame structure () for accommodating a tub () and operational component parts () which are required for drying laundry, said frame structure () comprises a front supporting member () having means () for removably mounting said front casing panel (). The laundry dryer is characterised in that said front supporting member () comprises a portion () that forms a component part of said tub ().

A laundry dryer includes a cabinet, a rotatable drum within the cabinet, a plurality of rollers rotatably supporting the rotatable drum, a process air moisture condensing device provided in a casing in a basement of the laundry dryer, and a water pipe operatively connected to at least one component of the condensing device. The laundry dryer comprises at least one fire-protection shield which contains a fire or burning within the cabinet of the laundry dryer. Accordingly to some aspects, the fire-protection shield includes a fire-resistant roller cover which covers a majority of a face of a corresponding roller such that the corresponding roller is shielded from a fire within the cabinet of the laundry dryer. According to other aspects, the fire-protection device includes a fire-resistant pipe covering configured to shield the water pipe from the fire or other burning within the cabinet of the laundry dryer.

A household appliance () comprises a cabinet () accommodating a drum for loading items to be dried and a drying air circuit for circulating drying air through the drum for drying the items therein. The drying air circuit comprises air heating elements () for heating the drying air fed to the drum, and the cabinet is provided with a worktop () defining a surface () having a plurality of apertures () in fluid communication with an air conveying system () adapted to deliver a flow of air through said apertures. The air conveying system comprises an air duct () thermally coupled to the air heating elements in such a way as to cause heat generated by the air heating elements to heat the air to be delivered through the apertures in the drying surface.
