The present disclosure is directed to a for manufacturing a switching apparatus for electric systems. The method includes (i) providing a first housing shell of the switching apparatus; (ii) providing a second housing shell of the switching apparatus; (iii) assembling the first and second housing shells and a number of operating components of the switching apparatus, thereby obtaining a preliminary assembly of the switching apparatus; and (iv) joining first and second coupling edges of the first and second housing shells through a vibration welding process, thereby forming a junction between the first and second housing shells and obtaining a sealed outer casing for the switching apparatus.

Method for manufacturing a switching apparatus for electric systems

A medium voltage circuit switch or breaker includes: at least one movable contact; a fixed contact; and a mechanical or magnetical drive system, which moves the at least one movable contact to a closed or opened position by a movement of a rod and/or a lever. The mechanical or magnetical drive system is linked to a switching generating signal. The mechanical or magnetical drive system includes at least one pyrotechnical actuator or gas generator. The pyrotechnical actuator or the gas generator is linkable to the switching generating signal of the mechanical or magnetical drive system.

Medium voltage circuit switch or breaker

A pivot supporting structure for a circuit breaker and a circuit breaker. The pivot supporting structure includes: a supporting body having a supporting hole for receiving and pivotally supporting a pivot pin connected to an actuating mechanism of the circuit breaker, wherein at least one strain gauge are mounted to the supporting body for sensing the force acting on the pivot supporting structure by the actuating mechanism. This pivot supporting structure can accurately sense the characteristic force applied, such that the contact force and mechanical characteristics of the circuit breaker can be on-line monitored.
