A pant-type garment having a length direction and a width direction and being divided in the length direction into a front portion, a back portion and a crotch. The front and back portions are joined in a first and a second side seam arranged in first and second side seam regions and are formed as fusion bonds formed by laser bonding of superposed layers of the front and back portions along opposing side edges of the front and back portions. The side seams have a length in the length direction of the pant-type garment and are constituted by fused thermoplastic material. Each side seam has a generally rectangular cross-sectional area, a width in the width direction of the pant-type garment and a thickness perpendicular to the width direction (W) and the length direction (L) within 80% to 100% of the length (l) of each side seam.

Pant-type garment and method for the production thereof

A method for producing a chassis web for a disposable pant article, the method including feeding a first continuous base web in a machine direction; attaching a continuous elastic waistband component to the first base web in an attachment area extending in the machine direction; attaching a second continuous base web to the first continuous base web and the continuous waistband component, covering at least the continuous waistband component, thereby forming a compound base web having first and second side edges, the attachment area being spaced apart from at least one of the first and second side edges of the compound base web; severing the compound base web and the attached waistband component by cutting; shifting positions of the first panel web and the second panel web in a cross machine direction; forming a coherent chassis web.

Method of producing a chassis web with a waistband component and disposable pant article produced from the chassis web

A method for producing a chassis web which may be further converted into a disposable pant article and a pant article is disclosed. The method includes feeding a continuous base web in a machine direction; attaching a continuous elastic waistband component to the base web in an attachment area; severing the base web and the attached elastic waistband component by cutting; shifting positions of the first panel web and the second panel web in a cross machine direction, thereby bringing the first and the second panel webs into an arrangement with first and second cut edges facing away from each other in the cross machine direction; directly or indirectly connecting the first side edge of the first panel web with the second side edge of the second panel web thereby forming a coherent chassis web.

Method of producing a chassis web comprising a waistband component and disposable pant article produced from the chassis web

A disposable pant-type absorbent article, such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant is described. The disposable pant-type absorbent article has a longitudinal direction (Y) and a transverse direction (X). The disposable pant-type absorbent article is adapted for a male user. A method for manufacturing such a disposable pant-type absorbent article is also described.

Disposable pant-type absorbent article

An array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles adapted for female and male users. The array has a first subarray including first and second sizes for female users; and a second subarray including third and fourth sizes for male users. Each absorbent article in the array has a transversely elasticised waist portion. At least one of the first and second size absorbent articles has a first circumferential length of the waist portion in a relaxed state and a second circumferential length of the waist portion in an extended state. At least one of the third and fourth size absorbent articles has a third circumferential length of the waist portion in a relaxed state and a fourth circumferential length of the waist portion in an extended state. The first circumferential length is smaller than the third circumferential length, and the second circumferential length is equal to the fourth circumferential length.

Array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles

An elastic laminate including a first nonwoven layer, a second nonwoven layer, and a plurality of elastic strands arranged in parallel with one another between said first and second nonwoven layers is disclosed, as well as a process for the production of the laminate. The elastic laminate includes elastic strands that are stretched and individually coated with an adhesive. The first and second nonwoven layers are attached to the stretched elastic strands to provide a corrugated elastic laminate when the elastic strands are relaxed. At least one of the nonwoven layers is attached to the strands at distinct adhesive bonding points in a repeating predetermined pattern in a lengthwise direction along the strands to form a predetermined corrugation pattern, and the nonwoven layers are substantially free of adhesive, except in the adhesive bonding points where the layers are attached to the elastic strands.

Elastic laminate and process for the manufacture of elastic laminate

A disposable pant-type absorbent article includes a chassis and an absorbent body. The chassis has a front portion and a back portion and each of the front and back portions has a waist edge, a pair of leg edges and a pair of side edges. The front and back portions are joined to each other at opposite side edges to at least partly define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings. The absorbent body is located mainly in a crotch portion of the article. An elastic leg feature is fastened to the chassis at least partly along leg edges. The elastic leg feature extends from the associated side edge towards a centre line in the longitudinal direction of the article. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method of manufacturing a pant-type absorbent article, as well as an array of gender-specific, disposable, absorbent articles.

Disposable pant-type absorbent article with a leg cuff

An absorbent article having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction and comprising a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core is disclosed. The article has, in the longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion located between the front and rear portions. The front and back portions define a waist edge and a leg edge, and the crotch portion defines two crotch edges. A first elastic element extends along the waist edge, a second elastic element extends along the leg edge and a third and a fourth elastic element each extend along one of the crotch edges. The topsheet or the bottomsheet or another sheet is folded along the waist edge, leg edge and crotch edges so as to enclose at least a part of each corresponding elastic element.

Absorbent article and method for manufacturing an absorbent article

An array of products comprising three or more different sizes of disposable pant-type absorbent articles is provided, wherein each of first and second and third disposable pant-type absorbent articles comprises a chassis with a front portion and a back portion, and an absorbent body attached to the chassis, and a length direction and a width direction, wherein the size of the front and rear portion of the first disposable pant-type absorbent articles is smaller than the size of the front and rear portion of the second disposable pant-type absorbent articles, wherein the size of the front and rear portion of the third disposable pant-type absorbent articles is larger than the size of the front and rear portion of the second disposable pant-type absorbent articles, and wherein each of the front and back portions has a waist edge, a pair of leg edges and a pair of side edges and wherein a distance, in the length direction, between the leg edge of the front portion and the leg edge of the back portion, is common for all disposable pant-type absorbent articles of the array of packages when the disposable pant type absorbent articles are in a flat-out uncontracted state and said distance is measured by one of the side edges.

Array of absorbent products

An array of gender-specific disposable absorbent articles is provided. The array has a first disposable absorbent article adapted to be worn by males and a second disposable article adapted to be worn by females. Both articles have in their longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion between the front portion and the back portion. The first article has a first elastic component configured for providing fit and comfort to a male user. The second article has a second elastic component configured for providing fit and comfort to a female user. The first and the second elastic components each have a plurality of elastic elements extending at least partly along each respective article. The first and second elastic components differ from each other in at least the positioning or the elastic strength of the respective elastic elements. A method for manufacturing the array is also provided.

Array of gender-specific absorbent articles

An array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles adapted for female and male users is described. The array has a first subarray of absorbent articles including a first size absorbent article adapted for female users and a second size absorbent article adapted for female users. The second size is larger than the first size. The array also has a second subarray of absorbent articles including a third size absorbent article for male users and a fourth size absorbent article adapted for male users. The fourth size is larger than the third size. An array of packages of the array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles is also described.

A disposable pant-type absorbent article adapted for a male user. The disposable pant-type absorbent article includes a chassis having a front section and a back section, an absorbent core, a front region configured for receiving the genitals of a male user, in which the front section at least partly is made of an elastic material comprising at least one elastic element. The absorbent core within a front region, under the influence of side elastic elements and elastic web material is adapted to bulge outwardly during use of the article to form a bowl shaped portion for receiving the genitals of a male user.

The disclosure relates to a disposable pant-type absorbent article, such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant, for an adult user. The absorbent article has a longitudinal direction (Y) and a transverse direction (X). The absorbent article includes a front body panel having a first at least partly elastic region extending along leg edges of the front body panel, and a second at least partly elastic region located next to the first elastic region. A back body panel has a third elastic region extending at least partly over the buttocks-covering section of the back body panel. Each of the elastic regions is elasticised by means of a plurality of elastic threads arranged substantially in the transverse direction across a major portion of the front or back body panel. A side edge of the third elastic region overlaps in the longitudinal direction both a side edge of the first at least partly elastic region and part of a side edge of the second at least partly elastic region at the side seams.

A pant type disposable absorbent article including a front body panel, a back body panel positioned at a distance from said front body panel, and an absorbent member; the absorbent article having a longitudinal central axis X-X and a transverse central axis Y-Y; the front body panel being substantially rectangular, and having a waist edge, two side edges, and an inward edge including a crotch edge and leg opening edges on each side of the crotch edge, between the crotch edge and each side edge, the front body panel being at least partially elasticized, the back body panel having a waist edge, two side edges, a crotch edge, and leg opening edges on each side of the crotch edge, between the crotch edge and each side edge, wherein a distance from the crotch edge to the waist edge is greater than the length of the side edges.
