An electric motor includes a plurality of phases and a switching device. The phases extend between respective terminals and are divided into a plurality of distinct groups, in particular at least a first group and a second group. The switching device is coupled to the first group and is operable to switch an electrical configuration thereof. The second group of phases is instead configured to maintain its electrical configuration unchanged during the switching of the electrical configuration of the first group.

Electric motor

A semiconductor device including at least one substrate, a plurality of connection pairs, each equipped with a first connection electrode and a second connection electrode and connected to the terminals of a phase or to the ends of a phase fraction, one or more first control electrodes operatively placed between the connection pairs and configured to arrange the pairs in a first electrical configuration and one or more second control electrodes operatively placed between the connection pairs and configured to arrange them in a second electrical configuration.

Semiconductor device

A switching device for an electric motor provided with a plurality of phases includes a fixed body equipped with a plurality of connection portions and at least one moveable body that can be moved with respect to the fixed body between at least a first position, in which the phases are arranged in a first electrical configuration, and a second position, in which the phases are arranged in a second electrical configuration. The second electrical configuration is separate from the first one due to the connection between the phase fractions within each phase and/or due to the reciprocal connection between the phases.

Switching device for an electric motor and an electric motor comprising said switching device

A drive system for a hybrid or electric vehicle includes an electrical energy source; an electric machine, a switching device linked to the electric machine and selectively switchable between a first configuration, and a second configuration, an adjusting device linked to the electric machine and configured to vary its operating parameters, and a control unit. The first electrical configuration includes a first number of conductors in series by phase supplying a first driving torque with a first knee speed and a first no-load operation speed. The second electrical configuration includes a second number of conductors in series by phase supplying a second driving torque, lower than the first driving torque, and a second knee speed higher than the first knee speed. A ratio between the first no-load operation speed and the second knee speed is between 0.7 and 1.3.

Drive system for a hybrid or electric vehicle

An endothermic/electric hybrid propulsion system for a vehicle comprises a first propulsion unit, of the electrical type, provided with at least a first electric machine (EM1) coupled to a transmission shaft, a second propulsion unit, of the hybrid type, provided with an output shaft and comprising at least one internal combustion engine (ICE) and at least one second electric machine (EM2) which can be selectively coupled together to provide torque to the output shaft in an independent or combined manner and a coupling member operatively interposed between the output shaft of the second propulsion unit and the transmission shaft of the first propulsion unit.
