A multiple scalable radar on chip (SROC) based system in a multi-array configuration; may include: a first SROC; and a second SROC. The first SROC may include a ramp generator, a fractional-N PLL synthesizer, a frequency multiplier, a power amplifier, 'Y' number of transmitter chains, 'Z' number of receiver chains, and a receiver section. The second SROC may include a ramp generator, a fractional-N PLL synthesizer, a frequency multiplier, a power amplifier, &#x2018;Y&#x2019; number of transmitter chains, &#x2018;Z&#x2019; number of receiver chains, and a receiver section. The ramp generator of the first SROC may be configured to drive the fractional-N PLL synthesizer of the second SROC. The fractional-N PLL synthesizer of the second SROC may be configured to produce radio frequency (RF) ramp signals to drive both the first and second SROCs. &#x2018;Y&#x2019; and &#x2018;Z&#x2019; may represent positive integers.

Multiple radars on chip-based systems

An electronic motion detection device () comprises a support structure () adapted to be fixed to a wall and a spherical body (), which is rotatably supported by the support structure () and adapted to be locked in a plurality of spatial orientations. A detection member () comprises a sensitive element such as a radar antenna and an interface () configured to exchange configuration data. Such member is adapted to be inserted into a seat () of the spherical body () in a direction of insertion (X-X), and may be locked to the seat () of the spherical body () in an operating position ad in a configuration position. In the operating position, the spherical body () and the detection device () are arranged in such a manner as to prevent a user to access the interface () whereas, in the configuration position, the detection member () is translationally shifted in the direction of insertion (X-X) with respect to the operating position to be operated, for the user to be able to access the interface ().

Electronic movement detection devices

A method of transmitting packets wherein said packets are comprised in a plurality of flows, the flows comprising flow characteristics controlling admission of incoming flows. A plurality of admitted incoming flows with the same class of service are inserted into a queue. A committed information rate value corresponding to said queue and a bandwidth available for transmission of said queue according to the identified committed information rate value are identified. An order for transmission for the queues is established based on the class of service of the queue and the identified bandwidth. A plurality of cells of the same size are generated from a plurality of frames and the cells are distributed between a plurality of individual transmission channels according to the ordered defined for transmission. A transmitter equipment and a receiver equipment are also disclosed.

System and method for multi-channel packet transmission

A mobile node comprises: a plurality of network interfaces, each with a respective device driver; a network layer; a multi-interface driver capable of communication with each network interface by way of the respective device driver for that network interface, the multi-interface driver handling communications from the network layer to any of the network interfaces; the multi-interface driver switching from a first one of the network interfaces to a second one of the network interfaces by changing the one of the plurality of network interfaces with which the multi-interface driver communicates, while hiding the switching from the network layer.

Multi-interface mobility client

A gateway for mobile access includes a foreign agent that receives user profile data and session state data from a home authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) system of a mobile node, and a dynamic packet filter that performs multi-layer filtering based on the user profile data. The foreign agent transfers a session from a first network to a second network without session interruption, using the session state data, when the mobile node moves from the first network to the second network. The packet filter permits Internet access by the mobile node without passing Internet data requested by the mobile node through the first network.

Mobility access gateway

A gateway for mobile communications comprises a cache for storing network data recently downloaded from a network, a foreign agent, and a packet filter that directs requests for the network data from a mobile node to the cache. The packet filter directs the requested network data from the cache to the mobile node by way of the foreign agent, without forwarding the requested network data to a home agent of the mobile node.

A scheme for authentication, dynamic key generation and exchange provides means for authentication of mobile nodes and networks, and for generation of per session, per node, security association and encryption keys for encrypting/decrypting communications between a mobile node and an access point in wireless local area networks. The scheme utilizes the same infrastructure and authentication information for both data link layers (layer 2) and network layers (layer 3). This scheme is particularly applicable to networks adhering to the IEEE 802 LAN family of standards.

A method to determine if an encrypted flow of packets (F) belongs to a predefined class of flows (&#x3c9;), comprises the steps of giving probability density functions (p(x|&#x3c9;)) of the values of two measurable variables in a plurality of encrypted flows of packets (F) belonging to the predefined class of flows (&#x3c9;), measuring the values (s,&#x394;t) of the two measurable variables, apply the measured values (s,&#x394;t) to the probability density functions (p(x|&#x3c9;)) to generate a sequence of values of probability density (p({right arrow over (x)}|&#x3c9;)), process the sequence of values of probability density (p({right arrow over (x)}|&#x3c9;)) to generate a reference value (S({right arrow over (x)}|&#x3c9;)), and compare such reference value (S({right arrow over (x)}|&#x3c9;)) to a threshold value (T) to determine whether the encrypted flow of packets (F) belongs to the predefined class of flows.

Portable and/or mobile IP hosts desiring to connect to the Internet can dynamically acquire a home address and other configuration information through DHCP when powering up in a foreign network. A two-stage configuration procedure is used. First, the mobile host uses the M-IP protocol to establish contact with an addressing element, referred to as a bootstrapping agent, that is usually co-located with a M-IP Home Agent, and that allocates a temporary home address for the mobile host. The temporary address is used to create a temporary tunnel. Second, this temporary tunnel is used as the communication vehicle over which standard DHCP transactions take place. The present invention is thus arranged to use a) M-IP as the signaling mechanism for reaching the home network and dynamically allocating a temporary home address for the mobile host; and b) DHCP to allocate a permanent home address and any other configuration state for the mobile host.

When a telecommunications network involves use of the Internet Protocol, signalling information is passed by providing between a user and the Internet Protocol an interface protocol () which interfaces with one or both of the Transport Control Protocol and the User Datagram Protocol. The interface protocol layer provides selected parts of SS7 facilities.

Telecommunications signalling using the internet protocol

A method of use of a UMTS telecommunications network, comprising utilizing UMTS signalling to indicate changes in an IP sub-network. To register a Mobile Terminal (MT) or to update its location within the network, signalling relevant to the IP domain is transmitted with UMTS signalling in an integrated approach. This reduces the number of signalling messages that are required and minimizes delays.
