Primary blade modules for a wind turbine blade are provided comprising a first blade shell, two opposed spar caps, and at least one shear web. The first blade shell has a root end and a first coupling end configured to be coupled with a secondary blade module. The two opposed spar caps have respective first spar cap portions extending along the first blade shell substantially from the root end to the first coupling end of the first blade shell, and respective second spar cap portions extending beyond the first coupling end. The at least one shear web extends between the opposed spar caps at least partially along the respective first spar cap portions. Secondary blade modules, systems for transporting primary blade modules, and methods of assembling (in situ) wind turbine blades having a primary blade module and a secondary blade module are also provided in the present disclosure.

Wind turbine blade modules and wind turbine blades

Method of manufacturing an impregnated metal insert for a wind turbine blade root, the insert comprising an outer surface and an open end adapted to receive a fastening element for attachment to a wind turbine rotor hub, wherein the method comprises covering the insert outer surface with one or more resin pre impregnated fiber layers, and heating for curing such that a resin impregnated fiber layer adheres to the outer surface of the insert. The disclosure is further related to the method of manufacturing a portion of a wind turbine blade.

Methods of manufacturing an impregnated metal insert

It comprises bushings in at least a first circumferential row in a blade portion and suitable for receiving studs in a hub portion. Bushings comprise an elongated body with lateral faces, lateral faces inclined to each other and major and minor faces into which the lateral faces converge. The connector assembly allows an efficient releasable connection of blade root and hub in a wind turbine rotor.

A blade for a wind turbine comprising a blade root portion for attachment to a mounting flange of the wind turbine, the blade root comprising a plurality of first holes provided with an internal bushing wherein the bushings comprise a first end at or near a mounting surface of the blade root and an opposite second end embedded in their corresponding first holes, and wherein one or more internal bushing being guiding bushings, the guiding bushings comprising a first end that is adapted to guide the blade root with respect to a mounting flange.

Blade for a wind turbine

It includes a rotatable hub carrying blades and a device for attaching a portion of the blades to a portion of the hub. The attaching device includes bushings inside of which corresponding studs can be secured. At least some of the bushings are provided with at least one securing end adapted for providing the stud with a degree of rotation relative to the bushing. Bushings may include an inner receiving member for receiving a corresponding end of the stud. The receiving member can be rotated inside the bushing around an axis.

A blade for a wind turbine comprising a blade root portion, the blade root portion defining an annular mounting surface for coupling to a hub or extender of the wind turbine and comprising a plurality of first holes provided with an internal bushing, wherein at least one first internal bushing comprises at least one first securing member, and at least one second internal bushing comprises at least one second securing member, the first and second bushings being located in or near substantially opposite positions of the annular mounting surface, and wherein said first and second securing members are adapted to receive connecting means for connecting the first securing member with the second securing member.
