A method that may be performed by a first IAB-donor includes establishing a first signaling connection with an IAB-node, receiving an indication that the IAB-node has a second signaling connection with a second IAB-donor, and in response to receiving the indication: transferring, to the second IAB-donor, information related to the IAB-node, re-establishing traffic between the first IAB-donor and the IAB-node via a topology of the second IAB-donor, or any combination thereof.

Signaling enhancements for simultaneous multiplexing in an integrated access and backhaul network

In some aspects, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) may transmit, to a second IAB donor CU, a resource configuration of a first cell served by an IAB node to initiate a migration of the IAB node from a first parent node to a second parent node serving a second cell associated with the second IAB donor CU. The first IAB donor CU may receive, from the second IAB donor CU, an indication that communications performed by the IAB node associated with the first cell will not conflict with communications with the second parent node serving the second cell. The first IAB donor CU may migrate the IAB node to the second parent node based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Migration of an integrated access and backhaul node

Aspects described herein relate to providing dynamic frequency division multiplexing (FDM) within a component carrier (CC) for use by integrated access and backhaul (TAB) nodes. A configuration can be communicated for each cell of the IAB node indicating multiple resource availability combinations with each resource availability combination corresponding to resource block (RB) sets over multiple slots. A downlink control information (DCI) indicating one resource availability combination of the multiple resource availability combinations for one or more cells of the IAB node can be communicated as well. The IAB node can communicate, in a slot, over one or more RB sets of the multiple configured RB sets in symbols indicated as available by the one resource availability combination.

Aspects relate to establishing a signaling connection between a radio access network (RAN) node and a first scheduling entity. The RAN node may communicate in a dual connectivity (DC) mode of operation with the first scheduling entity (e.g., a secondary gNB) using a first radio access technology (RAT) and with a second scheduling entity (e.g., a master eNB) using a second RAT. The RAN node and the first scheduling entity may support sending information for a first signaling connection between the RAN node and the first scheduling entity over a second signaling connection through the second scheduling entity (e.g., when the second signaling connection is more reliable than the first signaling connection). A control node may transmit, to a first relay node, an indication to communicate according to a first resource configuration of a set of resource configurations, where each resource configuration of the set is associated with a respective resource block set and a respective time domain pattern. In some examples, each time domain pattern may indicate, for each symbol of a respective set of symbols associated with each time domain pattern, a resource type associated with availability of each symbol for communication by the first relay node with a second relay node.
