The invention relates to an apparatus for cutting of a web () conveyed along a conveyance direction (F), and subsequent feeding and threading it up into a processing line, said web () comprising a central portion () and edges (), said apparatus comprising central cutting means () for cutting the central portion () laterally and transversely to the conveyance direction (F) and edge cutting means () for cutting the edges () transversely to the conveyance direction (F), said apparatus further comprising edge channels () for taking up the edges () into the processing line, said channels being substantially closed and comprising movable lids. The invention also provides a method for threading up a web in a processing line. The invention finally provides edge channels ().

Apparatus and method for cutting a web, feeding it into a processing and threading it up through that line

Apparatus for winding a web () on a winding roll (), comprises at least a first and a second roll () and a third roll (), said first roll being located on one side and said second roll and said third roll being located on the other side of the path of said web in course of winding on said winding roll. Said first and second rolls and said third roll are movable towards each other and towards said winding roll, so that said third roll get sandwiched between said winding roll on one hand and said first and second rolls on the other hand, said web passing between said first roll and said third roll and then between said third roll and said winding roll. Means cause said third roll to position and align freely between said first and second rolls and said winding roll.

Apparatus and method for winding of webs

A segmented vacuum roll comprising an inner assembly on which a plurality of cylindrical sleeve tubes ( ) having apertures over their circumference are rotatably and coaxially mounted side by side, each of said sleeve tubes being individually rotatable and one or several first chambers ( ) formed in said inner assembly and partly defined by a first portion of circumference of said sleeve tubes, said inner assembly comprising linking channels ( ) for linking a vacuum source to said chambers so that said first portion of circumference of said sleeve tubes may be submitted to vacuum. The instant invention relates to an apparatus for winding a web arriving from a conveyance direction, comprising: primary winding roll ( ) and secondary driving means ( ), switching means ( ) for switching the winding from the secondary means ( ) to the primary winding roll ( ), and cutting means ( ) to cut the at least one web ( ) between the primary winding roll ( ) and the secondary driving means ( ), wherein the switching means comprise diverting ( ) situated opposite to the primary winding roll ( ) with respect to the at least one web ( ), said diverting means being movable along a transverse direction (G) intersecting the conveyance direction (F) to entrain the at least one web ( ) towards the primary winding roll ( ), whereby the at least one web ( ) is cut and caused to be wound on the primary winding roll ( ). The invention also relates to a method for winding a web, especially using the apparatus of the invention as well as a double pantograph frame suited to be used with said apparatus.
