Embodiments of this application provide a Wi-Fi communication method and apparatus, and relate to the wireless communication field. A station may obtain detection information including a start time point at which an access point actually starts to send a beacon packet to the station for one time, obtain a low power consumption parameter based on the detection information and a first time interval, and receive the beacon packet from the access point based on the low power consumption parameter. The low power consumption parameter includes an actual wakeup period of the station and an actual receive window length within which the station receives the beacon packet, or the low power consumption parameter includes an actual wakeup period of the station, and the actual wakeup period of the station is greater than a preconfigured wakeup period of the station.

Wi-Fi communication method and apparatus

A head-mounted device may have a head-mounted housing. The head-mounted housing may have rear-facing displays that display images for a user. The images are viewable from eye boxes while the head-mounted device is being worn by the user. A peripheral conductive member may run along a peripheral edge of the front face of the housing. Dielectric-filled gaps may divide the peripheral conductive member into elongated conductive segments. The conductive segments may form antenna resonating elements for antennas on the front face. Radio-frequency transceiver circuitry such as cellular telephone transceiver circuitry may be coupled to the antennas.

Systems with wireless communications

An electronic device may include a conductive housing with a rear wall and a sidewall. A display may be mounted to the sidewall and may include a conductive display structure separated from the sidewall by a slot. An antenna arm may be interposed between the conductive display structure and the rear wall. A first inductor may couple the conductive display structure to the housing and may compensate for a distributed capacitance between the antenna arm and the conductive display structure. A second inductor may couple the antenna arm to the rear wall and may compensate for a distributed capacitance between the antenna arm and the rear wall. A speaker may be co-located with the antenna. A third inductor may couple the antenna arm to the rear wall to allow antenna currents to bypass the speaker.

A system may include multiple electronic devices. A first device such as a source electronic device may supply visual content for displaying by a display in a second electronic device such as a display electronic device. The display electronic device may be a television or other device with a display. Calibration operations may be performed by taking light measurements on light produced by the display when test content is provided from the first device to the second device. A third electronic device in the system such as a portable electronic device with an ambient light sensor may make measurement on the light from the display while the test content is being displayed. The test content may contain a test image target with time-varying color and time-varying intensity, allowing calibration information such as gamma curves to be obtained on the display.

In some implementations, a mobile computing device may participate in the calibration of an output signal of a media device. This calibration process includes storing device-specific calibration data which is related to properties of a light sensor of the mobile device. The mobile device then detects of properties of light emitted by the display device during a presentation to obtain sensor values related to light emitted by the display device during the presentation. The calibration process may also ensure that the mobile device is proximate to the display device prior to obtaining the sensor values. The collected sensor values are adjusted using device-specific calibration data stored to the mobile device to normalize the sensor values relative to a baseline. These normalized sensor values are sent to the media device for use in adjusting the output signal based on the normalized sensor values.

A method for recognizing multi-dimensional anomalous urban traffic events based on a ternary Gaussian mixture model includes: reading a data sample of urban road traffic events; randomly dividing the data sample into a first subsample and a second subsample; performing modeling based on the first subsample by using the ternary Gaussian mixture model to obtain a second ternary Gaussian mixture model to calculate a distribution probability p of any sample point; clustering the second subsample, recognizing an outlier in the second subsample, and labeling the outlier and a normal point to obtain a labeled subsample; calculating the labeled subsample to obtain the distribution probability p corresponding to each sample point in the labeled subsample; when a new traffic event occurs, obtaining features of three dimensions of the new traffic event, calculating a distribution probability p by using the second model, and recognizing the new traffic event as anomalous if p&#x3c;t-score.

A display calibration system may include a first electronic device that includes an ambient light sensor and a display to be calibrated in a second electronic device. The first electronic device may generate test patterns to be displayed on the display. The ambient light sensor may receive light emitted from the display based on the test patterns to generate display color space data. The first electronic device may generate calibration data for the display based on the display color space data and a target reference color space. The second electronic device may store the calibration data and use the calibration data to generate more accurate images. Because the first electronic device may include other functionalities other display calibration, specialized display calibration equipment may be omitted. Additionally, a third electronic device that acts as an intermediary between the first and second electronic devices.

A display panel is initialized to a native state where no color corrections are applied. A native response of the display panel is measured in the native state. One or more calibration operations for the display panel are performed based on the measured native response and calibration data is generated. The generated calibration data is stored in a timing controller (TCON) chip of the display panel. One or more chromaticity values of the display panel are measured while driving the display panel in a calibrated state based on the generated calibration data. The measured chromaticity value of the display panel is stored as Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) or DisplayID data in the TCON.

Optimum chromaticity calibration

An electronic device may have components that experience performance variations as the device changes orientation relative to a user. Changes in the orientation of the device relative to the user can be monitored using a motion sensor. A camera may be used to periodically capture images of a user's eyes. By processing the images to produce accurate orientation information reflecting the position of the user's eyes relative to the device, the orientation of the device tracked by the motion sensor can be periodically updated. The components may include audio components such as microphones and speakers and may include a display with an array of pixels for displaying images. Control circuitry in the electronic device may modify pixel values for the pixels in the array to compensate for angle-of-view-dependent pixel appearance variations based on based on the orientation information from the motion sensor and the camera.

An electronic device may include a peripheral conductive housing sidewall with an integral ledge extending towards the device interior. A display cover layer may be supported by the integral ledge. A slot antenna may be formed from a slot in the integral ledge. The integral ledge may be mounted to a surface of a substrate and coupled to a conductive rear housing wall by a conductive layer extending over an additional surface of the substrate. The sidewall may include a vertical portion extending from the ledge to the rear wall. The slot antenna may be fed via near-field coupling using a conductive patch that is located within the slot at the surface of the substrate. The conductive layer, rear housing wall, and vertical portion may form a cavity for the slot antenna. The conductive layer may isolate the slot from interference with a battery, display circuitry, or other components.

Electronic devices having housing-integrated antennas

An electronic device may have peripheral conductive structures and a conductive layer that define edges of a slot element for a slot antenna. The slot element may be configured to cover wireless communications in a 1575 MHz satellite navigation band and 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless local area network bands. A tuning circuit may be coupled across the slot approximately half way across the length of the slot. The antenna tuning circuit may include an inductor coupled in series with a notch filter (in scenarios where the slot is long enough to cover the 1575 MHz satellite navigation band in its fundamental mode) or may include a capacitor coupled in series with a notch or low pass filter. The fundamental mode and one or more harmonic modes of the slot element may cover the satellite navigation and wireless local area network bands.

Electronic devices having multi-band slot antennas

A computer stylus may be provided that includes an elongated body with a tip and an opposing end coupled together by a shaft that includes a metal tube. The stylus may include a substrate at the end of the elongated body and conductive traces on the substrate. The conductive traces on the substrate may form an antenna ground, an antenna resonating element arm, and a return path. The antenna resonating element arm may be a helical structure that wraps around the substrate. The antenna ground formed from the conductive traces may be coupled to the metal tube using an intermediate metal layer. A cap structure formed at the opposing end and over the substrate may be interposed between the conductive traces and adhesive to protect the conductive traces from the adhesive. A metal portion of the cap structure may serve as an antenna signal reflector.
