A distributed unit (DU) may include a transceiver configured to communicate with a plurality of radio units (RUs) that are configured to serve a plurality of user equipments (UEs). The DU may include a processor configured to determine RU precoding parameters for UEs served by a first RU set from the plurality of RUs based on estimated channel parameters for communication channels between the first RU set and at least one of interfering UEs served by other RUs from the plurality of RUs; to encode information indicating the determined precoding parameters for downlink transmissions to the first RU set and determine DU precoding parameters for downlink transmissions to the UEs served by the first RU set based on the determined RU precoding parameters; and/or precode communication signals based on the determined DU precoding parameters.

Methods and devices for signal processing

Bayesian Inference based communication receiver employs Markov-Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) sampling for performing several of the main receiver functionalities. The channel estimator estimates the multipath channel coefficients corresponding to a signal received with fading. The symbol demodulator demodulates the received signal according to a QAM constellation, so as to generate a demodulated signal, and estimate the transmitted symbols. The decoder reliably decodes the demodulated signals to generate an output bit sequence, factoring in redundancy induced at a certain code rate. A universal sampler may be configured to use MCMC sampling for generating estimates of channel coefficients, transmitted symbols or decoder bits, for aforementioned functionalities, respectively. The samples may then be used in one or more of the receiver tasks: channel estimation, signal demodulation, and decoding, which leads to a more scalable, reusable, power/area efficient receiver.

Communication devices and methods based on markov-chain monte-carlo (MCMC) sampling

Technology is disclosed for a vehicle-capable user equipment (vUE) operable for sensing-based distributed scheduling 5 of event-based mission critical (MC) vehicle-to everything (V2X) traffic. The vUE can sense sidelink control information (SCI) for semi persistent scheduling (SPS) resource selection from one or more SCI messages received in one or more physical sidelink control channels (PSCCHs) from one or more neighboring vUEs. The vUE can identify: a number of MC resources to transmit event10 based MC data with a selected number of repetitions within a latency budget, wherein the MC resources include one or more of MC-SCI or MC data with the selected number of repetitions; and a number of available resources to transmit event-based MC data within the latency budget. The vUE can select revocable resources from one or more scheduled low-priority resources based on the sensed SCI for SPS resource selection.

Sensing-based distributed scheduling of event-based mission critical (MC) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) traffic

Systems and methods of providing DMRS for a UE are generally described. The DMRS locations in a resource unit of a Physical Resource Allocation of a shared channel are randomly determined, and the DMRS sequences randomly generated before transmission from a master UE to a wearable UE. The DMRS locations are disposed on different subcarriers and symbols in the resource unit and are repeated every k subframes or m resource units within the same subframe. In situations in which the collision/contention probability is relatively small, DMRS in control channels may be used rather than in the shared data channel.

In some embodiments, a nUE (network user equipment) schedules a RA (random access) resource in a control channel. Systems and methods of providing communications between UEs are generally described. A notification resource indicating subsequent transmission of a discovery message is transmitted from a UE to another UE using a discovery ID selected from a limited number of discovery IDs stored in the other UE. The other UE transmits a random access request to the UE having a temporary ID. The UE may not respond if the temporary ID is already used or may transmit data transmission information scrambled by the temporary ID. The other UE transmits a contention resolution PDU to the UE and may receive an ACK to indicate ID contention is not present, or either no response or a NACK to indicate the presence of ID contention. The other UE may either select a new temporary ID or use a backoff timer to retransmit the random access request at a random time.

The UE may receive, from the gNB, control signaling that includes a public key of the gNB. The UE may determine a random sequence of bits based on a random number generation operation with the shuffling key as a seed. The UE may determine, based on the random sequence of bits, a shuffling array for shuffling of coded bits.
