A flight management system includes a communications system configured to receive weather data from a remote source, a display system configured to generate an output for a flight display of an aircraft, and at least one processor with a non-transitory processor-readable medium storing processor-executable code. The output includes weather information based on the received weather data. The processor-executable code causes the processor to receive a user input from a user interface element of the aircraft where the user input requests updated weather information. The processor-executable code causes the processor to retrieve, via the communications system and in response to the user input, updated weather data from the remote source; calculate a departure or arrival performance flight parameter based at least in part on the updated weather data; and provide, via the display system, an output for the flight display of the aircraft where the output includes the flight parameter.

An apparatus interfaces with a light stanchion associated with a runway. The apparatus can include a first interface for attaching to the light stanchion, second interface for attaching to runway light, and a radar reflective member. The radar reflective member can be a corner reflector. The radar reflector can be part of set of reflectors arranged in accordance with visual approach slope indications or precision approach path indications.

A vehicle anti-collision light is disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the vehicle anti-collision light includes one or more illumination sources disposed on a substrate, and a reflector assembly coupled to the substrate at a base. In embodiments, the reflector assembly includes a reflective element including one or more reflective surfaces configured to redirect a first portion of illumination, and one or more transmissive portions configured to transmit a second portion of illumination through the reflective element. In embodiments, the one or more transmissive portions are bounded within the one or more reflective surfaces of the reflective element such that the reflective element includes one or more reflective surfaces between the base and the one or more transmissive portions, and one or more reflective surfaces between the one or more transmissive portions and a distal edge of the reflective element.

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a light source. The display apparatus includes a display target configured to receive light from the light source. The display target displays an image using at least a portion of the light received from the light source. The display apparatus includes a first reflective structure configured to reduce an outgoing angle of at least a portion of the light from the light source. The display apparatus includes a second reflective structure configured to longitudinally translate at least a portion of the light from at least one of the light source and the first reflective structure toward the display target.

A head up display can use a catadioptric collimating system. The head up display includes an image source. The head up display also includes a collimating mirror, and a polarizing beam splitter. The light from the image source enters the beam splitter and is reflected toward the collimating mirror. The light striking the collimating mirror is reflected through the beam splitter toward a combiner. A corrective lens can be disposed after the beam splitter.
