A reactor vessel for high temperature catalytic reactions is provided, in which the inlet portion has a particular design. A plant comprising this reactor vessel is also provided.

High temperature reactor vessel, plant and method

A mixing device mounted between two catalyst beds in a multi-bed catalytic reactor with a cylindrical shape. The mixing device has a circular outer rim which corresponds to the inner wall of the reactor, and includes a collecting section for collecting fluid from an up-stream catalytic bed, a mixing section for mixing the collected fluid, and a discharging section for discharging the mixed fluid to a down-stream catalytic bed. The collecting section, the mixing section and the discharging section are disposed outside the center of the circular cross-section of the reactor.

Multi-bed reactor with mixing device

Present application relates to a mixing device () for mixing a first gas with a second gas, the second gas being corrosive to the mixing device. The mixing device comprises a first gas guiding part () having a first gas guiding inlet part () and a first gas guiding outlet part (), a second gas guiding part () having a second gas guiding inlet part () and a second gas guiding outlet part (), the second gas guiding outlet part arranged in the first gas guiding part so that the first gas and the second gas are mixed and a guide vane configured to establish a swirling motion in the first gas. Further disclosed is a related method.
