Disclosed herein is a basketball backboard system and methods of assembly. The backboard system reduces and simplifies the number of steps for a user to take in assembling the system for play. The basketball system comprises a base, a vertical support assembly including a pole, a backboard extension arm, a backboard, and a rim. In some embodiments, the user only has to complete five attachments to fully assemble the system, including securing the vertical support assembly to the base, securing the backboard extension arm to the pole, mounting the backboard to the extension arm, and mounting the rim to the backboard. It is further contemplated that the system will be convenient to package, as the vertical support assembly may be designed to fully nest within the base to reduce product volume.

A footwear device is provided having a deformable heel contact member. The heel contact member extends above a top portion of the footwear's sole and deforms into a cavity formed in the sole when the user's heel applies a force against the heel contact member. The heel contact member is resilient and returns to its original shape when the force against the heel contact member is eliminated. The heel contact member is particularly well suited to reduce heel slap of open heeled footwear.

An active seat includes a seat disposed at a first end of a body; a convex surface disposed at a second end of the body; and a stacking notch defined at an intermediate location along the body. The convex surface defines at least a first rocking path about which the active seat tilts. The stacking notch defines a flat surface recessed laterally inwardly from an outer periphery of the body taken at the first and second ends.
