A screen for a safety helmet, including a principal part having at least one wing with at least one linkage piece mounted thereto, where the linkage piece includes: a first arrangement for connecting the screen to the shell and configured to facilitate pivoting of the at least one linkage piece relative to the shell, such that the screen is moveable between a low position, in which the screen is substantially covering the face opening, and a high position, in which the face opening is substantially clear; and a second arrangement for connecting to the at least one wing and configured to facilitate the pivoting of the principal part relative to the at least one linkage piece; wherein the principal part is moveable relative to the at least one linkage piece between a position substantially away from and a position substantially close to the face opening.

Protective helmet and screen

A helmet is particularly well suited for cold-weather use. The helmet includes a jaw shield that is detachable from a head portion. A breathing mask connects to the jaw shield via a mask adjustment mechanism that selectively axially moves the breathing mask toward and away from an inner surface of the jaw shield to precisely and accurately position the breathing mask against the nose and mouth of the helmet's wearer. A spring-loaded quick-release tinted shield is controlled by a lever that selectively raises and lowers the tinted shield. An eye shield pivotally connects to the helmet and is disposed in front of the tinted shield. An eye shield heating system on the eye shield electrically connects to the head portion of the helmet to provide electric power to the heating system.

Protective helmet that includes a shell adapted to protect a user's head, an inner lining, and a headband having an adjusting device. The adjusting device includes two gripping members adapted to be manually moved towards or away from one another by the user in order to vary a size of the headband. Protective helmet includes an outer shell adapted to protect a user's head. A connecting element is connected to the outer shell. At least a first shield is pivotally mounted to one of a journal and the outer shell. At least a second shield is pivotally mounted to the connecting element.
