A wireless transmitter includes an antenna and a signal generator. A control signal input to the signal generator controls a frequency band of a carrier frequency. The control signal also controls the transmitted signal power. The control signal is generated by a decoder unit that decodes an audio signal.

Wireless transmitter and hearing system

A wireless microphone () comprises a radio transmitter for transmitting radio signals carrying audio signals to a hearing device. The wireless microphone () further comprises at least one coupling element () for detachably fixing one of various interchangeable functional modules () to the wireless microphone (). The coupling element () is designed to fix the interchangeable functional module () to the wireless microphone () by mating with a coupling element () of the interchangeable functional module (). The coupling elements () comprise electrical contacts () for electrically connecting the interchangeable functional module () to the wireless microphone () when the interchangeable functional module () is fixed to the wireless microphone () by means of said coupling elements (). The coupling element () constitutes a bidirectional electrical interface between the wireless microphone () and the interchangeable functional module (). The wireless microphone () can be limited to an assistive listening device with basic functions and features, extendible by the user with extra functions and features as needed.

Wireless microphone

A mobile transceiver () comprises several receivers () for receiving electrical or electromagnetic signals carrying audio signals and a radio transmitter () for transmitting radio signals carrying audio signals. The mobile transceiver () comprises a prioritizing module () for assigning priority values to audio signals received by the receivers (). The prioritizing module () is designed to assign priority values in accordance with priority values assigned to the receivers () that received the audio signal concerned and/or to signal identifiers contained in the received electrical or electromagnetic signals carrying the audio signal concerned. The mobile transceiver () makes it possible to receive several audio signals separately from different audio sources, to prioritize automatically the received audio signals, and to select automatically and transmit one of the several received audio signals to the user, thereby assisting the possibly hearing impaired user in differentiating audio signals from different audio sources.

Mobile transceiver and electronic module for controlling the transceiver

A handheld transmitter and/or receiver for use in a frequency band B with an electric power less than or equal to 10 mW, wherein the frequency band is 50 MHz&lE;B&lE;500 MHz. A transmitter and/or receiver module is operationally connected to a transmitter and/or receiver antenna. A casing is made of two parts linked to be mutually movable. At least one predominant part of the module is built into one of the casing parts. The other of the two casing parts includes the antenna.
