The present invention is for a flat B containing amorphous powder based in Fe, Ni, Co or a combination thereof; a coating resulting from deposition of the powder; and a method for depositing the powder. The composition of the powder and the resulting coating consists essentially of the formulation: (Fe,Ni,Co).sub.bal Cr.sub.0-20 (Mn,Mo,W).sub.0-35 (B,Si,C).sub.5-25 (Al,Ti).sub.0-10 where the subscripts are in atomic percent and with the proviso that 4.ltoreq.B.ltoreq.15, and that the balance will exceed 50%.

A composite mechanically stabilized, magnetic shield is provided which comprises a superposed layer adhesively bonded to a glassy metal alloy sheet (e.g. ribbon or fabric). Further, a procedure for providing mechanical stabilization for glassy metal alloy sheet is provided by bonding a superposed layer adhesively to the sheet. The construction results in a composite having a high degree of flexibility or rigidity. The adhesively bonded sheet prevents the glassy metal alloy ribbons or fabric from fraying when subjected to flexing and torsioning or handling. The stabilized magnetic shields are useful as electromagnetic shields in electronics and communications.

An adhesive bonding procedure for providing mechanical stabilization for metallic glass ribbons in fabric form. A curable liquid adhesive is applied to the metallic glass fabric and is cured to adhesively bond overlapping ribbons. The resulting composite shows a high quality appearance and texture of the surface, a high flexibility of the coating on the metallic glass fabric and an ability of the adhesive bond to prevent the fabric from fraying when subjected to flexing and torsioning.

A fluid dispensing device comprising (a) a housing having a closed end, and opposite open end and fluid release opening extending through the wall of the housing; (b) an inner member adapted to contain a fluid and having one open end, an opposite closed end, a length substantially coextensive with the length of said housing and an outside cross-sectional dimension smaller than the inside cross-sectional dimension of the housing; the open end of the inner member being insertable in the open end of the housing thereby providing an annular space between the wall of the housing and the inner member; (c) the open end of the inner member being engageable with the closed end of the housing so as to form a first releasable seal to contain the fluid in the inner member; and (d) threads provided on the inner member adjacent its closed end and engageable with threads provided on the housing adjacent its open end so as to form a second releasable seal.
