A servo-operated fluid flow control valve includes a valve body housing a main valve which defines with the body an inlet chamber, an exhaust chamber, and a control chamber. An auxiliary valve is interposed between the control and exhaust chambers and is movable relative to the main valve by a jack controlled by a regulator. The arrangement is such that when the auxiliary valve is closed, the inlet and control chambers are in communication, and when the auxiliary valve is open, the control and exhaust chambers are in communication while the inlet and control chambers are isolated from each other.

In a pump or motor having a plurality of radial pistons adapted to perform a plurality of strokes per revolution, a stator, a rotor and a fluid-distributor slide valve fast with the stator and having a radially extending plane face opposite a radially extending plane face of said rotor, said slide valve is provided in a chamber which communicates with the interface between said faces and, by a pressure-maintaining device, with a substantially unpressurised enclosure such that the effect on said slide valve of the pressure of fluid in said chamber will substantially balance the effect of pressure of fluid acting on said interface between said faces.

A pressurized fluid supply apparatus comprises a closed circuit including a variable delivery pump, an open circuit including a pump, a fluid reservoir and a fluid cooler, and an engine for driving said pumps having an output shaft coupled to the drive shaft of said pumps, a flow-limiter being provided in the delivery conduit of said pump of said open circuit and including a restriction whose configuration is independent of the pressure of fluid in said delivery conduit upstream of said flow-limiter.
