A process and apparatus for heating a flowable product. The flowable product is introduced into a vessel or chamber and then heated by use of microwaves. The microwaves are generated by a microwave transmitter and introduced into the vessel at or near a bottom of the vessel via a waveguide. The introduction of microwaves near or at the bottom of the vessel allows mixing of the flowable product as the flowable product is heated.

Process and apparatus for flowable products

A process and apparatus for heating a microwave transparent material or di-polar material. The apparatus includes a vessel that has susceptor material on at least a portion of the vessel walls. Microwaves are generated by a microwave transmitter and introduced into the vessel which can heat both microwave transparent materials and di-polar materials within the vessel.

Apparatus and process for incorporation of susceptors into vessels

A process and corresponding apparatus and system for use in preparing soaps from fatty acid containing oil compositions, and in turn, for preparing greases by the use of such soaps in combination with one or more base oils.

Process and apparatus for manufacturing grease

A process for treating wood and wood products is disclosed. Wood is impregnated under pressure with soybean oil or a mixture of vegetable oils with soybean oil, which oil is caused to polymerize within the wood. The polymerized oil is effectively fixed within the wood. The oil may be treated in advance of impregnation to initiate polymerization. Further, the wood may be surface treated with a more fully polymerized coating of oil. Pressure and vacuum may be applied in selected sequence to promote impregnation, and heat, blowing air, oxygen, Ultraviolet light, and other agents may be employed to promote polymerization of the treated wood within the pressure chamber during the impregnation process or outside of the pressure chamber after impregnation. Additional additives may be used to prevent pest infestations and the growth of fungi or to promote the migration of the oil into the wood.

Soybean oil impregnation wood preservative process and products

A soybean oil based electrically insulating fluid with a high flash point and a high fire point. The base oil is hydrogenated to produce maximum possible stability of the soybean oil, and can be winterized to remove crystallized fats and improve the pour point of the base oil without the necessity of heating the oil. The base oil can also be combined with an additive package containing materials specifically designed for improved pour point, improved cooling properties, and improved dielectric stability.

Soybean based transformer oil and transmission line fluid

An environmentally prefered biobased soybean oil based electrically insulating fluid with a high flash point and a high fire point. The base oil is hydrogenated to produce maximum possible stability of the soybean oil, and can be winterized to remove crystallized fats and improve the pour point of the base oil without the necessity of heating the oil. The base oil can also be combined with an additive package containing materials specifically designed for improved pour point, improved cooling properties, and improved dielectric stability. The base oil is capable of conforming to the President's executive order 13101 of Sep. 14, 1998 for &ldquo;Greening the Government Through Waste Prevention, Recycling, and Federal Acquisition.&rdquo;
