A master brake cylinder assembly of a motor vehicle brake system includes a fluid reservoir and a master brake cylinder. The fluid reservoir and the master brake cylinder are fluidically coupled to each other by means of at least one fluid channel. At least one filter element is arranged within the master brake cylinder assembly in such a way that a brake fluid volume exchanged between the master cylinder and the fluid reservoir during operation flows through the filter element. The filter element is designed to collect dirt particles present in the brake fluid.

The invention relates to a modular leakage protection device for a fluid container of a vehicle brake system. The modular leakage protection device comprises a housing which attaches the modular leakage protection device to a fluid discharge opening of the fluid container. The modular leak protection device further includes a switching element, which can be moved between an open position, in which a fluid passage in the housing is released, and a closed position, in which the fluid passage is closed. The switching element is preloaded into the closed position by means of at least one to preloading means.

The present invention relates to a brake booster device for a vehicle brake system comprising a force input element, a control valve arrangement actuable via the force input element, a chamber arrangement disposed in a housing and comprising a vacuum chamber and a working chamber, which is separated from the vacuum chamber by a movable wall and connectable selectively to a vacuum source or the atmosphere, and a force output element, wherein the movable wall is biased into a normal position by a resetting spring accommodated at least partially in the housing and wherein the housing is penetrated by at least one fastening bolt. In this case, it is provided that at least one damping element acts for the purpose of vibration damping on the resetting spring, wherein the at least one damping element is mounted on the at least one fastening bolt.

The invention utilizes the finding that a pressure variation or pressure difference between two chambers of a brake booster is a parameter of considerable influence on the behavior of a brake booster control valve arrangement in the operation of the brake booster. Starting from a holding position for the control valve arrangement, pressure levels related to changeovers from the holding position to a first pressure changing position and a second pressure changing position, respectively, are determined. Depending on the thus determined pressure level differences, current values for an actuation of the control valve arrangement defining upper and lower limits for the holding position are adjusted.

Electronically controllable brake booster

A pneumatic brake booster (,) has a booster housing (,), the interior of which is subdivided by at least one movable wall (,) into a vacuum chamber (,) and a working chamber (,). Projecting into the booster housing (,) is a control valve (,) which, after a response force acting counter to its operating direction has been overcome, controls a pneumatic pressure difference acting upon the movable wall (,). The control valve (,) is operable both by means of a mechanical input element (,) and, independently thereof, by means of an electromagnetic arrangement (,) comprising a coil (,) and an armature (,), which are displaceable relative to one another along the operating direction. To reduce the response force which has to be overcome by a user, a device for detecting an operation of the control valve (,) effected by means of the mechanical input element (,) is provided which, once such an operation has been detected, during said operation prompts an energizing of the electromagnetic arrangement (,) of an intensity sufficient to reduce the response force of the control valve (,) yet not increase the braking force provided by the brake booster in accordance with the operation.

A booster housing, especially for vehicle brake systems, and a method of assembling such a booster housing in which a booster housing (20) has two housing bottoms (26, 28) which are each disposed at one side of a movable partition (60). Connecting members (32) on at least one of the housing bottoms (26) are each tightly crimped around one fastening hole (30). Spacers (50) extend between the two housing bottoms (26, 28) as well as through the partition (60). Each of the connecting members (32) is provided with a recess (40) into which an end portion (52) of the associated spacer (50) is inserted and crimped. The booster housing (20) is assembled by inserting an end portion (52) of a spacer (50) into the recess (40) of one connecting member (32), passing the connecting member (32) through a fastening hole (30), and simultaneously crimping the connecting member (32) with the housing bottom (26) and the spacer (50).
