The present invention relates to a polymerizable composition comprising at least one polymerizable benzoxazine compound and core-shell particles, where the core of the core-shell particles comprises at least one (co)polymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (A) and the shell of the core-shell particles comprises at least one crosslinked (co)polymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B), where the ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B) encompasses at least one aromatic group. The present invention further relates to adhesives, sealants or coatings, which encompass the polymerizable composition of the invention, and also to the polymerization products of this composition. The present invention further relates to a process for the production of the polymerizable composition of the invention.

Polymerizable composition

Aqueous, storage-stable emulsions of &#x3b1;-silyl terminated polymers are useful as adhesives, sealing compounds and coating materials. The &#x3b1;-silyl terminated polymers correspond to the general formula (I): in which Ris a linear or branched alkyl or alkoxy group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Rand Rindependently of one another are linear or branched alkyl groups containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Rand Rindependently of one another are divalent organic connecting groups, Ris a hydrophobic divalent polymer group; and Ris a CHSiR(OR)(OR) group, in which R, Rand Rhave the above meaning or Rstands for a group that lends the polymer of the general formula (I) the property of self-emulsification in water by forming an oil in water emulsion.

Described are moisture-curing alkoxysilane-terminated polyurethanes which can be obtained by reacting polyurethane prepolymers with a mean NCO functionality of at least 1 but less than 2 with special sulfur-free alkoxysilanes, reacting with substantially all the free NCO groups. Also described is the use of these compounds as sealing and/or adhesive compositions.

Moisture-curing alkoxysilane-terminated polyurethanes

Described are moisture-curing sealing and/or adhesive compositions based on alkoxysilane-terminated polyurethanes and containing diurethanes as plasticizers. The diurethanes are prepared either from diol mixtures and mono-functional isocyanates, reacting with substantially all the free hydroxyl groups, or from diisocyanates and mono-functional alcohols, reacting with substantially all the free isocyanate groups. Also described is a method of preparing the moisture-curing sealing and/or adhesive compositions and their use as joint sealants.
