A textile machine for producing cross-wound packages, comprising a plurality of workstations, each of which has at least one pneumatic consumer, and comprising a suction system which has at least one vacuum source to which the pneumatic consumers of the workstations are connected via a machine-length vacuum duct arranged in the region of the central axis between two rows of workstations. In order to modify such a textile machine producing cross-wound packages in such a way that it is ensured that the required minimum spinning vacuum is always available at all workstations of the textile machine during spinning operation, according to the invention the textile machine producing cross-wound packages has, in addition to the vacuum duct, a machine-length bypass duct which is also installed in the region of the central axis and is arranged above chain ducts for service units.

A tube storage and transport device for a textile machine producing cross-wound packages, which has a plurality of similar workstations arranged side-by-side on both longitudinal machine sides, having a central tube magazine and two empty-tube conveyor belts arranged in the region of the longitudinal machine sides is provided. To improve the known tube storage and transport devices, and in particular to optimize the clock times that can be achieved during the empty-tube delivery, the tube magazine has at least two elevator units, that the elevator units have stacked and vertically displaceable holders for empty tubes, that the holders are designed for the empty tubes to be set down in a manner oriented the longitudinal direction of the machine, and that each of the elevator units is connected to one of the empty-tube conveyor belts and is designed in such a way that empty tubes are removed from the elevator units from the longitudinal machine side and transferred onto the empty-tube conveyor belts.

An open-end spinning machine (1) with a plurality of adjacent open-end spinning units (2) each having a sliver opening device (4) with impurity-discharge openings (10). An impurity-removal device (11) is installed below the impurity-discharge openings (10) and comprises an impurity-removal belt (12) which can be driven in a reciprocating manner. A cleaning carriage (16) is arranged on the impurity-removal belt (12) and is connected by frictional engagement to the impurity-removal belt (12). The cleaning carriage (16) has a cleaning lip (18) which mechanically cleans the areas of the sliver opening devices (4) especially endangered by contamination. The cleaning carriage (12) can be shifted as required relative to the impurity-removal belt (12).

A traverse mechanism for a cheese producing textile machine includes a traverse housing having a longitudinal slit formed therein, a drive drum rotatably disposed within the housing, two yarn guides respectively disposed to move along the slit adjacent one another, with one of the yarn guides having a shuttle element disposed within the housing in driven connection with the drum, and a compound sealing slit covering element extending between and connecting two adjacent yarn guides for coupling the two yarn guides to be moved in unison upon driving of the shuttle element by the drum, the compound sealing slit covering element thereby also covering the slit to prevent dust and debris from entering the housing.
