The invention relates to a two-component polyurethane adhesive containing i) a polyol component including a mixture of three different polyols to ensure crosslinking for a mechanically stable adhesive bonding, and also to achieve hydrophobia to ensure that the crosslinked adhesive layer is impervious to moisture, and glass fibers, and ii) an isocyanate component containing polyisocyanates in an NCO/OH ratio of 0.9:1 to 1.5:1. The polyol component further includes a metal catalyst. The two-component adhesive has a high adhesive strength, a high glass temperature, a low curing time and a sufficiently long processing time, which can adhesively bond also substrates having uneven surfaces. The invention further relates to an article comprising the two-component polyurethane adhesive.

Two-component polyurethane adhesive for adhesively bonding molded fiber parts

The invention relates to a two-component polyurethane composition containing i) 10 to 80 wt. % of at least one polyol with an average molecular weight of 200 g/mol to 3000 g/mol, ii) 5 to 60 wt. % of at least one aromatic polyisocyanate, and iii) 0 to 15 wt. % of an additive. The composition has an NCO:OH ratio of 2:1 to 1:2, and the composition has a viscosity of 20 to 3000 mPas (EN ISO 2555, Brookfield viscometer, 25&#xb0; C.) and displays a phase incompatibility after the mixing process. The functionality of the polyol mixture is greater than 2.3.

A two-component polyurethane composition with a viscosity of 20 to 3000 mPa&#xb7;s (EN ISO 2555, 25&#xb0; C.), containing i) 10 to 80 wt. % of at least one polyol with a number-average molecular weight of 200 g/mol to 3000 g/mol, ii) 5 to 70 wt. % of at least one polyisocyanate, iii) 0 to 10 wt. % of a catalyst, wherein the composition has an NCO:OH ratio of 2:1 to 1:2 and polyisocyanates are used, wherein 3 to 25 mol % of the NCO groups of the polyisocyanate are converted into carbodiimide and/or uretonimine. The two-component polyurethane compositions are used as matrix binders for fiber composite moldings.

2K polyurethane systems with a high glass-transition temperature

The invention relates to a crosslinking two-component polyurethane composition consisting of (i) a constituent A containing polyols and additives, and (ii) a constituent B containing between 100 and 65 wt. % of aromatic polyisocyanates, between 0 and 35 wt. % of aliphatic polyisocyanates, and between 0.05 and 3.0 wt. % of a retarder, and optionally additives, the mixed composition having a viscosity (EN ISO 2555) of between 100 mPas and 3000 mPas at 25&#xb0; C., and the crosslinked composition having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of higher than 50&#xb0; C. and a pot life of longer than 60 minutes. The two-component polyurethane composition is suitable as an adhesive and as a matrix substance for composite materials.

Two-component polyurethane composition with delayed crosslinking

A two-component polyurethane adhesive is provided, which comprises a component A comprising at least one polyol with a molecular weight of more than 500 g/mol, a component B comprising at least one polyisocyanate with a molecular weight of less than 1000 g/mol, and additional additives. The component A contains 0.1 to 10 wt. % sterically hindered amines having primary amino groups.

Two-component polyurethane adhesives with thixotropic effect

The invention relates to a method for bonding metal or plastic substrates, in which the substrate is freed from adhering impurities, a dual-component polyurethane adhesive is directly applied onto at least one substrate without prior application of a primer and the substrates are joined and cured. According to the invention, the dual-component polyurethane adhesive is composed of a component A, containing 1 to 98% by weight with reference to the component A of an oleochemic polyol, 1 to 10% by weight of at least one three-, four- or five-functional polyol with a molecular weight of 90 to 750 g/mol, 2.5 to 60% by weight of at least on aldehyde resin, keton resin and/or keton/aldehyde resin with a molecular weight of 250 to 25000 g/mol, and 0 to 70% by weight of other additives and a component B, containing at least one polyisocyanate, the NCO/OH ratio of the isocyanate component to the polyol component ranging between 1.0 and 2.0:1.

Method for primerless adhesive bonding of metal or plastics substrates

The uneven surfaces of wood-based materials such as chipboard may be improved by applying a formable coating material, smoothing and/or modelling the coating material to achieve a smoother surface, and heating the coating material to form closed pores while maintaining the smoothed surface intact. Decorative and flexible layers may also be applied to such surfaces in this manner

The invention relates to a filter in which dust-containing silica sand is held together by a polyurethane binder, the polyurethane binder containing an organotin compound with a molecular weight of more than 600 as catalyst and a mixture of highly dispersed silica and/or bentonites with a thickened aluminosilicate as modifier. The filter is particularly suitable for the production of drinking water from ground water in surface mining regions.
