A printing-material sheet processing machine includes at least one processing unit with an impression cylinder and a tool-carrying cylinder bringable into contact with the impression cylinder, the tool-carrying cylinder having at least one tool selected from the group of tools consisting of respective deforming and separating tools for the printing-material sheets, the processing unit also having a circumferential-register adjusting device and a lateral-register adjusting device, which are assigned to the tool-carrying cylinder for adjusting the register thereof, and having a diagonal-register adjusting device assigned to a sheet transport cylinder for adjusting the register thereof, the sheet transport cylinder being disposed for transferring the printing-material sheets to the impression cylinder.

A sheet-fed rotary printing press having at least one printing unit with an impression cylinder includes a transfer cylinder assigned to the impression cylinder for onwardly transporting sheets printed thereby, the transfer cylinder having at least one gripper system and being formed with a cylinder-jacket surface assigned thereto, the surface being rigid and a full surface, and at least one unit of a varnishing, a numbering and an imprinting unit assigned to the transfer cylinder.

Sheet-fed rotary printing press

A rotary printing press has a washing mechanism for washing ink residue off of the roller arrangement therein. The washing mechanism has a washing medium applicator and an arrangement of rollers which comprises a roller that can be positioned to split the flow of washing medium into two paths to direct the flow in essentially the shortest route possible to the distribution rollers located at the plate cylinder. The washing mechanism can also have a doctor-blade device for scraping the soiled washing medium from the rollers, and the doctor-blade device can be activated by the same mechanism which activates the positioning of the roller which splits the flow of washing medium.

An inking unit for rotary printing machines comprising driven distributor rollers, inking-unit rollers and plate-inking rollers which are mounted so as to be disengageable from a plate cylinder such that, when adjusting an inking-unit roller, the contact pressure is maintained at a constant level and the adjustment itself can be largely remote-controlled.

Roller bearing for a roller in a printing unit of a printing machine having a receptacle for a tang formed on an end of a roller, and a hold-down device movable for respectively locking and releasing the tang on the end of the roller, includes a device for fastening, with spring loading, the receptacle and the hold-down device radially to one another with the roller tang formlockingly received therebetween, the fastening device having a longitudinal axis, and the hold-down device being swivelable, with a force overcoming the spring loading, about the longitudinal axis of the fastening device and away from the roller tang.

A device for receiving therein a prestressed roller journal, the device being provided in a printing unit of a rotary printing press, includes a screw-in element having a prestressed pressure element movably guided therein for adjusting to a contact width of a roller, a bearing member carrying the screw-in element and being adjustable between a vertical installation position thereof and at least one installation position deviating from the vertical installation position, the bearing member being formed with a pair of guide cams disposed opposite one another for automatically orienting the roller in the vertical installation position, one of the guide cams of the pair thereof being disposed so as to carry the weight of the roller in the at least one installation position of the bearing member deviating from the vertical installation position.
