A tamping unit for tamping sleepers of a track includes a lowerable tool carrier and oppositely positioned tamping tools. Each tamping tool is connected via a pivot arm to a squeezing drive for producing a squeezing motion and to an electric vibration drive for producing a vibratory motion. The electric vibration drive includes an eccentric shaft which, together with a rotor of an electric motor, is mounted merely in an eccenter housing. A stator of the electric motor with a motor housing is flange-mounted to the eccenter housing. As a result of the omission of a separate motor mounting, the motor housing has a particularly small overall depth.

Tamping unit for tamping sleepers of a track

A track maintenance machine for compaction of ballast under sleepers of a track includes a machine frame movable by undercarriages on the track and a tamping unit which includes an electric vibration drive for vibratory actuation of tamping tools. An electric intermediate circuit has an electric energy store or storage device. An electric machine is associated with at least one undercarriage and coupled for generator operation to the intermediate circuit. The electric vibration drive is coupled to the intermediate circuit for supply. In this way, braking energy is used in an optimal manner for supplying the vibration drive. A method for operation of a track maintenance machine is also provided.

Track maintenance machine for compaction of ballast

A track maintenance wagon () for picking up and/or laying a track panel (), comprising a wagon frame () supported on on-track undercarriages (), wherein two longitudinal beams () of the wagon frame () delimit a free opening and are transversely displaceable relative to one another, so that the free opening is changeable as to its width and, in a working position, has greater opening dimensions as a horizontal projection of the track panel (), and wherein crane rails () are arranged on the longitudinal beams () for a gantry crane () mobile in the longitudinal direction () of the wagon. In this, buffers () are arranged at two free ends () of the longitudinal beams ().

Track maintenance wagon for picking up and/or laying track panels

A track maintenance machine, constructed to be mobile on a track, for consolidation of a ballast bed underneath a track, includes a machine frame supported on an undercarriage and a consolidating device, connected to the machine frame, which includes at least one consolidating element constructed to be lowered. The consolidating element is constructed as a consolidating plate which, in a working position, is larger in a longitudinal direction of the track than a distance between two sleepers of the track, and the consolidating plate is disposed to be rotatable in order to turn the consolidating plate into a passing position for lowering or raising between two sleepers. A method for consolidation of the ballast bed underneath a track by using a track maintenance machine is also provided.
