The disclosure relates to a piezo actuator device, preferably for controlling a dispensing of an application agent onto a component, including: at least one movable valve body for opening and closing at least one valve seat, at least one preferably pivotable actuating arm for actuating the at least one valve body, and a piezo actuator configured to move the at least one valve body to close and/or open the at least one valve seat.

Piezo actuator device

The disclosure concerns an applicator for applying a coating agent (e.g. sealing agent) to a component, in particular for sealing or bonding a flanged seam to the motor vehicle body component. The applicator in accordance with the disclosure first has a nozzle for dispensing the coating agent in a specific jet direction onto a component surface of the component to be coated. In addition, the applicator has a nozzle carrier for positioning the nozzle. The nozzle carrier is hollow on at least part of its length to pass the coating agent. Furthermore, the nozzle carrier comprises a plurality of limbs arranged one behind the other and angled relative to each other. The nozzle is arranged on the nozzle carrier, in particular on the distal limb of the nozzle carrier. The disclosure provides that a spacer, which projects from the distal limb in the jet direction and rests on the component surface of the component to be coated in the coating operation, is mounted externally on the nozzle carrier and thereby sets a predetermined application distance between the nozzle and the component surface.

Applicator and application method

An application system component is provided in the form of a changeable application member such as a nozzle or a bell cup. The application system component includes a transponder for storing component data, from which the component data is readable, and a wear detection device for monitoring of the application system component. The wear detection device includes a wear mark and an optical detector.

An application system for applying a coating agent onto a component, in particular for applying a sealant onto a motor vehicle body part, includes a material supply for providing the coating agent, a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the coating agent, an applicator for applying the coating agent, and a coating agent line between the material supply and the applicator. The temperature control device controls the temperature of the coating agent in the coating agent line downstream of the material supply.

The exemplary illustrations relate to an applicator for applying a coating to a component, for example for applying a sealing compound to an edge-raised seam on a rear side of a motor vehicle body component through a gap between two overlapping motor vehicle body components, with a nozzle for dispensing the coating means onto the rear side of the component and with an elongated curved nozzle carrier in order to position the nozzle on the rear side of the component to be coated, starting from the front side of the component to be coated. It is proposed that the nozzle carrier be curved a plurality of times such that the applicator can be guided through the gap.

Applicator for applying a sealing compound to an edge-raised seam and associated operating method

In order to program the sealing membranes to be applied to attachment parts of vehicle bodies, for example to the edge-formed seam of vehicle doors using a robot, an attachment part may be removed from the body and, away from the latter, be mounted on a teach frame where all regions of the attachment part which need to be coated are highly visible to the programmer during programming.

Method and system for applying a coating material using a programmable robot

An application system is disclosed, e.g., for the application of a sealing, adhesive or other coating material having a high viscosity, for example, on vehicle bodies. An exemplary application system may include an application robot fitted with an applicator having at least one application nozzle for the coating material, and a dosing device for general dosing of the coating material applied by the application nozzle, as may be desired. An exemplary dosing device may include a screw pump or a spiral pump that is built into or onto the applicator, or into or onto a robot arm of the displacement machine.

Application system

An applicator is disclosed for applying a coating agent, such as a sealant, to a component, such as a flanged seam of a motor vehicle body component. The applicator includes a nozzle for delivering the coating agent on to the component and a carrier. The carrier may be guided by a multiple-axis robot in operation, with a joint located kinematically between the carrier and the nozzle, thereby permitting the nozzle to move to avoid contact with a component being coated.

Applicator and application method for applying a sealant to a flanged seam

A metering system for a coating installation for coating components such as vehicle body parts contains an applicator which applies the coating material supplied to it with a volumetric flow metered on-demand, a regulated first metering device which adjusts the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material to be applied by the applicator based on setpoints which are specified by automated installation controls, a transducer to generate a reading which matches the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material flowing to the applicator and a control device for regulating the metering device as a function of the specified setpoints and of the reading from the transducer. A second metering device is connected at the outlet of the regulated first metering device for the coating material flowing to the applicator which controls the pressure or volumetric flow of the said applied coating material for precision metering of the coating material applied as a function of the specified setpoints.
