An attachment of a vehicle axle to an axle suspension of a vehicle, such as a utility vehicle, includes a first plate element arranged on the upper side of the vehicle axle, a second plate element arranged on the lower side of the vehicle axle, and at least one spring clip, which connects the vehicle axle to an axle spring suspension of the axle suspension via the plate elements. To simplify assembly and mounting of this attachment, at least one web which is attached on its upper side to the first plate element and on its lower side to the second plate element may be arranged on each side of the vehicle axle so that the vehicle axle is completely surrounded and enclosed by the webs and the plate elements.

Attachment of a vehicle axle to an axle suspension

A compressed-air-operated differential lock of a motor vehicle, which is arranged within a metallic rear-axle transmission housing part having a recess. A piston is arranged displaceably in the recess in relation to its longitudinal axis and so as to be capable of being supported on a first claw clutch half which is arranged fixedly in terms of rotation in relation to a shaft and so as to be capable of being coupled to a corresponding second clutch half. In order to provide a cost-effective differential lock, a plastic liner is inserted into the recess and receives the piston so as to guide the latter along said longitudinal axis and in which an elastomeric sealing ring is snapped in a way beneficial in mounting terms and seals off relative to the compressed-air interior.

In a wheel support arrangement of a vehicle drive axle with a hollow axle housing having outer ends on which wheel hubs are rotatably supported by bearings transmitting the wheel loads directly to the axle housing and drive shafts extending through the axle housings and having at their ends outside the axle housing drive shaft flanges connected to the hubs and brake discs or drums mounted on the inner ends of the wheel hubs, the wheel hubs and the outer bearing race ring have essentially the same axial length and the drive shaft flanges and the brake disc or drum flanges have inner diameters smaller than the outer diameter of the outer bearing race ring so as to firmly engage the outer bearing race ring between the drive shaft and the brake disc or drum flanges.
